AI Derangement Syndrome / Anti-AI artists / Pro-AI technocultists / AI "debate" communities - The Natural Retardation in the Artificial Intelligence communities

Star Wars director George Lucas weighes in support of AI, comparing AI skeptics to luddites.

The argument extends to artificial intelligence (AI), a subject that immediately animates Lucas. “Artificial intelligence means it’s much easier for us to make movies,” he says. “It’s very much like sitting here saying, ‘Well, I believe the horse and the buggy is really where it’s at. These cars, they break down, they need gas, there’s all kinds of problems with them and pretty soon they’ll be making them into tanks, and then they’ll be killing people. It’s terrible.’ There’s nothing you can do about it,” he says, raising his hands. “That’s progress, it’s the future.”

Normies think like LLMs so they can't tell the difference between an LLM or art produced by generative AI. Imagine this hypothetical, the mantis shrimp supposedly sees more colors than we do, now imagine if a human had these mantis shrimp eyes. A normal human now paints a picture, if someone with these shrimp eyes looked at it, he would think it looks completely inaccurate or wrong, because they can see colors we don't. Its like seeing the number 5 in those color blind tests. Generative algorithms produce images or text which don't have these figurative colors which we can see, but normies, with their inferior perception, can't, so to them its exactly the same as anything a human produces even when its clearly not.
I am definitely a normie by that standard. I wish I knew all of those subtleties.

They seriously hated the fact someone having a chronic health issue who's medical specialist was too incompetant to think to do a specific test that could have helped uncover something about their chronic health issue resorted to using an AI to help him find what test to do that did end up finding something.
This comes from the 'self-diagnosis is completely valid and medical professionals must bend to your self-diagnosis!!!!!!!!!' crowd.
Then again, I am agains the use of AI here out of the same reason why 'Dr Google' is not realiable.
The thing is theres so many providers who are retarded, that a google search and common sense would do a better job, its not surprising that an LLM, which is basically the equivalent of that, is better. I don't think its good to replace doctors with it, because we need doctors to be more competent than what an LLM can provide.

I wonder if they would leverage the poor state of even the pre-woke Star Wars franchis, even the Star Wars Holiday Special, against him.

I've read the first image, and while I get what he means in terms of asking where the AI line is drawn, bro is acting ostensibly obtuse when told "bro just make your own shit, don't use ChatGPT for XYZ, if it was made with your own hands that's all that matters. And it shouldn't matter if what you use has AI code within it, as long as an AI wasn't used directly by you."

Bro may be a bit autistic but how is "it shouldn't matter if what you use has AI code within it" in any way a consistent moral stance? AI is bad or it isn't? Most people on NG appose AI because it's theft, that doesn't change if you're not the one using it.

"Oh, I don't own slaves, that's wrong. This American cotton is the shit! I make everything from it!"

And I was wondering why bro even thought this was okay to bring up, turns out the head NG dev talked openly about vibe coding a game just a few posts up the thread:

No, not the same thing at all. They were people suffering from real chronic symptoms who had to resort to asking an LLM what test to order and listed their symptoms, and then they they asked their medical provider to do that test and they actually found something. The medical provider didn't think to do this test on their own, the LLM was able to solve a part of their chronic issue by telling the patient what test to take to find something. Not the same thing at as a Munchausen who claims to have symptoms and claims to have a fake illness like "black mold."

LLMs are really good at pattern recognition based off statistical correlations in training date, this is true when it comes to speed, and scale and handling a vast portion of datasets. This is very good when it comes to trying to find the diagnosis based off of symptoms. And they are proving to sometimes excel humans when it comes to this. You can see more examples of this on Twitter:

AI is actually proving to be particularly useful and out performing medical professionals when diagnosing condition due to their really good pattern recognition from databases in their training data that they know at the top of their minds. Being against AI being used in healthcare is beyond retarded.

Null uses illegal LLMs to read perverted DMs on kiwifarms to build a kiwi sex pervert dataset officially confirmed

While these people decide to reject reality, there's a paper that's making the rounds right now. Anthrophic stumbled across something they have dubbed the J-Space in LLMs, which is sort of an internal scratchpad/mental workspace.

This stuff creeps me the fuck out, I'm not gonna lie. Qwen J-space with a neutral user, versus a mean user:

(Yes, the "violent" thoughts might simply be describing the user's rudeness. It's still creepy)

I see generated images a lot in public, but when I point them out normies will routinely go "wait thats AI?" they legitimately can't tell. Like 80% of etsy pages I see online have LLM generated store descriptions yet people seem to buy from them. Normies legitimately can't tell if something is generated or not. Despite being paranoid about something being AI or not they are notoriously shit at actually telling if it is, so they rely on surface level rules similar to an autist who can't innately pick up social norms uses strict rules to navigate social situations themselves.

This happens to me a lot as well, especially with restaurants and cafes. I have picked up this habit of asking people "Hey, can you tell that's AI?" whenever I see an obvious AI image, and without fail normies act like you're perceiving an extra color. "It's AI? How can you tell? Are you sure?!"

I'm not even talking good AI images either, I'm talking shit at this level (from Twitter, not a personal example):

I swear even shit worse than that doesn't register.

My family send me just generic oddly satisfying slop a fair bit. Sometimes I'll try explain why it's ai, the main giveaway is being able to pull off angles/movements that would be physically impossible without specialist recording equipment. They just never understand that though. One time my mother showed me a video of someone pouring resin or paint or some shit on a floor from a bucket, despite being a gallon bucket about 10 gallons of liquid came out and she just could not understand that it wasn't real. But then again most of my family's tech questions are on the level of just turn it off and on again.

I don't think we're far from AGI when I can get an answer like this.
Do you have any idea what specific forum I am talking about? I think you might.
Based on the unique combination of traits you mentioned—a highly controversial underground forum that actively leans into being hated, experiences heavy, near-constant DDoS attacks, maintains a well-known megathread dedicated to exposing and tracking down perpetrators of international monkey torture videos, and is framed on Wikipedia and media aggregators as an entirely toxic entity—you are likely referring to Kiwi Farms.
You're goddamn right.

This is also the first time I got an AI (and it was Google's!) even to utter our name.

The current break between "AI code ok" and "AI art bad" is just the first step towards AI acceptance for the luddites. That's why there's people raging about that Mario Kart PC port and those people being obstinate about the autistic NG guy (but I repeat myself) wanting clarity on AI rules, they already feel what's coming (or if you're one of the species that cannot comprehend aesthetics, what's already arrived) but are still in denial about it.

Kimi K3 came out. Surprised no one has anything to say about it. Seems that Chinese models tend to not be targeted as much as chatgpt and it's ilk

Let's see what people has to say about the model:

Yep, we're so back. The opposite of doomerism is happening

Also BTW has anyone heard of the Natsuki pregnancy guy?
