reddit General

Reddit is so cucked out. The best dating advice you can get from Reddit is to do the opposite of whatever the 400lbs hambeasts / pink haired BPD freaks are telling you.

I've seen countless threads of Redditors telling others that you need to ask someone before kissing them. I thought that was ridiculous, but asking consent to TALK to someone :story:

The best bit of dating advice I ever heard was: "What would James Bond do?" Would James Bond ask for permission to talk to, kiss or fuck a woman? Of course not. Does not asking for permission make you a creep / pervert or rapist? Contrary to leftist beliefs, no it doesn't. Just don't be a retard and have some self-awareness of the situation.

Literally nobody asks to kiss someone it's just ridiculous. It's one of those ideas that exists almost exclusively within online discourse. You just do it and if she doesn't want to she will turn her head away.

It's my experience that once you're naked in bed with someone sex is 99% likely to occur. If someone doesn't want to have sex with you they make their intentions clear and shut you down before making out even occurs.

I'm not saying last second regrets and refusals don't happen, I'm positive they do. But it's not something that's ever happened to me and especially not these bizarre ass reddit fantasy scenarios where you're taking off her panties or whatever and and she's like

"Wait before we go any further you need to sign and notarize these consent forms in triplicate."

I'm fairly certain that's femcel/neurotic nerd fanfiction and has never happened once in the history of sex.

I saw one guy saying he ruined his date this way because it obliterated the mood
Tbf I imagine he also asked it in a very akward redditor tier way for it to immediately ruin a date

I think its fine advice for first kisses in plenty of social spheres, but once you already kissed once asking AGAIN for any kisses afterwards becomes weird extremely quickly even if asking the first time went over well

JUST. RUN. AWAY.

IGNORE. THEIR. UNDERMINING. VERBAL. ABUSE. ON. THE. WAY. OUT.

DO. NOT. STICK. AROUND. FOR. DECADES. OF. SHIT.

DO. NOT. REPRODUCE. WITH. THEM.

NOTHING. GOOD. WILL. COME. OF. THIS.
Agreed, but it’s not always as easy as that. When there’s kids involved it should be the main motivation to go, but it also adds so much more.

It’s just so short sighted and somewhat ignorant sounding to just blather this over and over. But I DO AGREE 100%

<Let me browse on reddit while I take my proza- ...Our country is being overtaken by le fascists!
^Yeah, I agree.
<Spongebob?
^That's me, Timmy.
<Oh my Fauci! I can't believe the titular character from my favourite, genre-defining, nostalgic, spine-tingling cartoon is talking to me!
^Yeah, that's cool. Anyway, you see that crude drawing of me? Imagine everyone else as it when you'll shoot up a catholic school tomorrow.

Of course, Redditors further down the line argue that Reddit is ackchually right-wing because r/wallstreetbets exists or something. The lack of self-awareness would be infuriating if I wasn't 100% sure it was intentional gaslighting.

I don't fuck a lot of men, so I can't tell you what other guys do. I can tell you that I do ask that if it's the first date and I don't know the woman that well, and it has always resulted in a "yes". It's not a huge deal, I just do it so there's no ambiguity involved.

I think I was taught it during university before MeToo, where I think it was pushed to First Years to try and curb the sexual assault accusations that usually rattle through such large groups of liquored-up young people thrust together for the first time without supervision.

In the end, I suppose I do it for my own assurance that things are going well and everything is good. I haven't had any woman react badly, and so I've never thought to stop it.

In general women like men that can read their body language and not ask for reassurance every step of the way. "Do you want me to X" asked at a wrong time ruins the mood, be a man and make that decision yourself

there are ways to say and do "i'm gonna touch you" without saying "I'm gonna touch you".

Like for kissing, once you both are happily talking and such you just lean a little closer, and continue the conversation whispering with her. Show some happiness to be there. Watch her face for any disgust or scared signals. If she doesn't want it, she shows that off, or just backs away, and unless you're a total retarded creep, life goes on.
Or you're in the bedroom and wanna touch something you put on your low tone and be like "Mmmm, that (nice name for delectable area) looks so nice..." and let her see those fingers moving in like snakes searching for a good meal. And if she doesn't want it she moves away from your touch, or gently pushes your hand away, and then, well, you just don't fucking try that again.

I'm not a social butterfly, and certainly never been lucky enough to know a woman like that, but fucking hell if my completely ugly mentally questionable self can kinda sorta figure out the idea of 'testing the waters' instead of talking like a clunky HR paperwork, even an average Redditor should be able to as well, right?

There's literally nothing wrong with being old fashioned and asking your date for a kiss. Idk what sort of terminally online, wannabe alpha you've gotta be to find such an idea so repulsive that the mere suggestion means the person in question is some unfuckable perma-virgin sperg.
It's not even a case of reddit just being retarded and going too far with it. It's farmers being so anti-reddit that anything they say has to be wrong on a fundamental level. There's no other reason to balk so hard at such an inoffensive suggestion.

It’s funny when even academia admits Reddit is a shithole. I read a paper from a California university that listed all the reasons why Reddit has such a bad reputation such as the moderators and the karma system. But of fucking course they didn’t dare mention all the insane leftist echo chambers on the site and tried to blame the toxicity on 4chan.

They’ll never address the fat, rainbow haired fedposting elephant in the room.

Romance stories often have the guy asking "can I kiss you now?". Asked at the right moment, it's considered heart-fluttering and terribly romantic.
