The house attached the SAVE America Act to an upcoming spending bill. Probably won't go anywhere since the Senate GOP is incomprehensibly cucked, but a good effort nonetheless. I really want to know why Randy Fine voted no on it though. He's really good when it comes to his voting record so there's gotta be something else to it.

If I recall correctly, last time the Democrats forced a shut down by blocking a spending bill it greatly benefited the republicans as they had an excuse to do emergency budget slashing of fraud and crap.

If it were that way, NYC, LA, Chicago, and San Francisco would all be deciding how people in more rural areas should live, and that to me is horrifying. They already do a lot of damage within their states, and it would be less contained without the senate.

They just passed another bill -- H.R. 1181 "To prohibit payment card networks and covered entities from requiring the use of or assigning merchant category codes that distinguish a firearms retailer from general-merchandise retailer or sporting-goods retailer, and for other purposes" -- and the dude said, "Without objection...or music...the motion to reconsider is laid upon the table." The House of Representatives has made me chuckle twice today.
