Sony hate thread

It have not enough whamen and have to much toxic masculinity for soyny these days, to even consider making a new Killzone.
Speaking of which, that PS3 emulator is working surprisingly well on my PC.

I would not be shocked if Soyny decide not to make any PS6 games come to the PS5
I was going to say I wouldn't be shocked if they decided to make the PS6 not backwards compatible with the PS5 but they already have since it won't have a disc drive.
I'm genuinely shocked they're this generous
If you read the full list there are no first-party Sony games on it, so it's actually third-party publishers being generous, while Sony are busy trying to sell you a completely pointless remake of The Last of Us for the second time.

Didn't the last Killzone (Shadowfall??) have you teaming up with a Helghast woman to teach you that actually the space Nazis with glowing red eyes aren't all bad and really if you think about it it's the evil colonialist USMC supremacists who are problematic.

Ironically, part of the plot of that game is after nuking the Helghast home world, they for some reason decide to give half of their own planet to the Helghast rapefugees who immediately begin starting shit with them yet again

Since Sony is hellbent on going full digital they need to start implementing features to compensate for the lost of physical media, otherwise they are really going to lose a lot of costumers to PC.

They have to start, and this should be non-negotiable, for the digital libraries of PSN users to carry forward to PS6 via backwards compatibility. The architecture of their next console has to be compatible to past systems so at least code from PS4 and PS5 games can run as native applications on PS6. Sony cannot sell people on the idea of an all digital future if users don't have sense continuity in their libraries.

Steam is a well regarded service because there is this unbroken continuity that is possible with PC games. Games I've bought when setting up my Steam account more than a decade ago are still in my library, even delisted titles, and are playable despite the changes in hardware and operating systems. If Sony cannot give a guaranty that digital games bought from PS4 and onward will work on PS6 out-of-the-box that is going to cause an major exodus of users.

Since digital is he only recourse moving forward for PlayStation then proposing to costumers that they have to buy the "PS6 upgrade" of the same game they already own is a deal breaker. Sony also has to set up a system that honors previous physical purchases so costumers can obtain a digital version of the same game free of charge. (Again this is common with Steam. if you own a physical PC game and it is available on Steam, entering the activation key that is in the box will add the game to your Steam library, free of charge).

While they are at it their refund policy will need to changed as well, downloading a game should not cause ineligibility to get one.

Perhaps the most important step Sony needs to take is to update and improve their PSN infrastructure, make it faster and add more features by the time the PS6 rolls out. They better star stress testing their systems otherwise people are going to rage quit if they discover that the 185Gb game they bought on PSN is downloading at 1Mb/sec.

I know, 🌈 but if Sony wants to compete in a fully digital marketplace it better wake up and step up or they are going to lose the relevance they arrogantly believe its is theirs by default.

I was able to play C&C generals on a modern PC(with some modifications). A over 20 year old game.

Holy fucking seethe
Correct, you're seething because I am right and you are wrong. Don't worry, I won't hold it against you, you're a green redditor, and therefore shitting yourself over absolutely nothing, even when you're clearly wrong, comes as naturally to you as grazing on the field for cattle. Not that you're much different if you genuinely think Switch 2 is not going to be an ownership nightmare this gen, boiling the frog works precisely because of dumb niggercattle like you: all the companies have to do is turn the temperature ever so slowly and they have braindead retards tripping over themselves in their defense, because they haven't been boiled to death quite yet. I haven't seen anything this pathetic as you going "ASKHTSUALLY NOT ALL GAMES ARE LIKE THIS" in a long time, figured it would come from this godforsaken subreddit. Go ahead and make another seething post with no counter arguments to show how totally not upset you are, green redditor.

Killzone was always a poor man's COD clone, there is no more demand for COD clones because even COD itself is dying. Therefore, no reason to divert anymore funds towards a game with no demand when you could instead make another walking sim, interactive movie or capeshit open world game in it's place.

Sony are at levels of ego not seen since the reveal of the PS3. They are convinced you are too fucking stupid/in love with the Playstation brand to even conceive of alternatives.

They are only right for niggers and poorfags. Eventually poorfags will be completely priced out and have to move to PC shitboxes against their will and they will see the light. Whites and Asians have been making the PC transition for awhile now.
Niggers won't care because they will likely just steal the consoles/use their welfare to buy it, poorfags meanwhile will have to move on, as you said, altho more likely they will just become mobile "gamers" since building a computer is too hard(and buying a ready one is too expensive). Funny how more and more Japanese have been moving onto the PC market over the years, likely because soyny isn't appealing to them anymore and everyone already owns a bing bing wahoo machine over there, so PC is the only way to play "hardcore" games now. Xbox was always a joke in that territory and I doubt that changed now.

to be properly on topic... It's really funny that of all times for the classic Sony arrogance to show up at its worst, its on the worst generation they had that made the early PS3 days look like sunshine and rainbows.

Typically when they have this arrogance, its when they dominated with thier last console and thought the competition wouldn't matter. From the two-time curbstomp streak with the PS1 and PS2 going into the PS3 and Xbox self immolating with the XBONE before the PS4 guarenteeing sucess and said success persisting to the PS5. But now? The PS5 is easily the worst selling in terms of sell-in and Sony seemingly can't do anything right with it with every decision they do make.

Meanwhile Valve just does the same thing but are incapable of getting good hardware deals so thier hardware is significantly costlier than it should be for what people are getting, Xbox is still burning but now with pajeets trying to get Izzat for "fixing" Xbox, and Nintendo is still being Nintendo so they're doing whatever they feel like doing this week and laughing thier way to the bank while people shake thier fists about what they did this time and whatever they did as far back as a decade ago and predict what they'll do next.

Out of the major 4, Sony is the LAST one that should be justifiably arrogant, with the current betting everything on GTA 6 and to a lesser extent, the killing of physical discs being a sign of how bad things really are behind closed doors that they're trying to do any and everything just to make the PS5 generation seem remotely profitable.

They don't seem to realize how much of their success with the PS4/5 was owed to Microsoft irreversibly destroying the Xbox brand with the Xbone. They've basically been running unopposed for 2 console generations now and it shows in their current attitude.

I hope they'll learn a sobering lesson when the PS6 releases to no fanfare but I've learned not to get my hopes up with things like this.

nothing of that will happen, 6 will sell like shit

If Sony decides that they are too high and mighty to give any concessions as the ones I mentioned combined with a high price tag, then indeed they are going to have a hard sell in their hands for a hardcore crowd.

It is surprising how many people operate on inertia and to always follow the path of least resistance. The only thing that is saving PlayStation is that for normie consumers it is still easier to use than a PC. The "Sony" brand is a household name in a lot of people's minds. I don't think even a "sticker shock" is going to dissuade the types that pay everything with a credit card.

History keeps repeating itself as Xbox is still in self-destruct mode, I don't have many hopes Helix is going to change their standing as a last place contender while Nintendo is doing its own thing for their own crowd. Sony's only real opposition is how much PC as a platform will continue to bridge the gap by lowering the technical "know-how" barrier of entry for the common consumer.

There are still some 18 months before Sony drops the ax on the neck of physical media, perhaps by then we'll have solid details about PS6.
