I already mentioned that I have 'completely violent' and 'completely peaceful' save files, both in which I try to get every Shadow Crystal. ...that does not make sense. The Twisted Sword requires a Thorn Ring (exclusive to the Weird Route) and a Pure Crystal, which is called 'The shadow purified by the cat', in other word, Seam. Then there is his links to the Shadow Mantle, which can only be gotten from the Sword Route (also part of my violent save file).

However, in Chapter 5 of the Weird Route, she says that her life was under glass, that is, the same material of the Shadow Crystals. Before you say that is just a common metaphor, Noelle then talks about her life in a way that implies that she is aware that she is just a video game character in a virtual world. Then there is you forcing the two to Proceed out of the bounds of the game. Th is consistent wi the holders of the Shadow Crystals (excep The Knight???), who become aware of their true natures. Maybe Noelle is going to be the source of the fifth Shadow Crystal in the Weird Route?

Then again, there is a third route that you can get from aborting the Weird Route after using Snowgrave on Berdly, which lets you keep the Thorn Ring and get all of the Shadow Crystals normally...

This reminds me that I wasn't sure if the Dark World in Chapter 3 was meant to include the entire Dreemurr house, or only the living room. Due to the fact that we only see the TV studio, and nothing besides that and an empty dark desert, I was thinking that it's the latter. Surely, an area that is actually based on Kris's room, Toriel's bedroom, the bathroom (is that were the S rank lounge could be?) would look a bit different? Perhaps Mancountry is located in the former, but the dialogue referring to the Rudinns being stuck in the couch made me think that, again, it's in the living room.


While I do believe that the Zelda-esque game that is played during the chapter could be spawned out of an actual game/console present in the house, I'm still kind of confused on Ramb's claims that Tenna modified it for his own purposes, and whatever we are playing in the S Lounge is the real, unmodified version; why is there an NPC of Tenna complaining about Spamton and his life in there? And if we assume that every no Dark World in the same room is the same, as per Chapter 4's events, would that mean that the "original game" would look different anyway? And who is the author of it, if it just appeared from thin air after opening a Dark Fountain, seemingly by chance?


Now here's what I really wanted to bring up: when you reach the last part of the TV Studio, Shutter mentions a hermit who decided to abandon the studio and live in the empty wilderness. My curiousity was immediately picked while playing the game for the first time. I assumed that this would be the chapter's secret boss, but that clearly didn't happen. So who could it be referring to? Perhaps:

• the Mancountry residents? Including the Egg Man?
• Eram/Shadow Mantle Boss? Even though he is inside of a video game, inside the Studio itself?
• Spamton, because he lived with Tenna for a while and left abruptly?
• The Knight? They are an outsider, and the Darkners don't have a concept of whatever is outside their Dark World?
• Gaster/Friend? Ugh....
• The lonely book Darkner that's chilling in the area required to gain access to the Egg?

In any case, it seems that some of the Darkners are something ephemeral, like computer files, and TV signals that exist in the moment. How the fuck did Kris carry them to the closet?

The only way I'll forgive toby for chapter 5 is if the whole festival and flower thing was because whatever Susie saw in the prophecy was so horrible it's a "we may as well party while we're still alive because we all might die tomorrow" type of thing, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Honestly worth a watch. Seems like what you get when a normal person (or as normal as what seems to be a brony) reacts when hounded by the deltatroons. I find fennekin too negative compared to what I'm seeing, this guy is closer to where I'm at, but yeah, I'm definitely on the ride to see the train crash at this point.

You get to keep the ThornRing through an aborted weird route, where you can also get five shadow crystals.

When you look through the shadow crystals you get to see an alternate reality which is essentially a reinterpretation of the prophecy. The prophecy can't be broken, but can be reinterpreted in order to get a completely different outcome.

religious glass, shadow crystal glass, black opaque glass (BlackShard) and the Dark Triangle are different things. here she refers to the first one, blind faith of the prophecy that determines the fate of this world. at least that makes the most sense.

Original game is romhacked by ERAM. Remember, there is no way to activate the old timeline, you can only derail the new timeline to make the weird route.

One of the most underrated things about Deltarune I never hear anyone talk about is all of the niche interactions you can get based on the choices you make. For example, in chapter one I skipped the prophecy cutscene and during chapter four Susie says "oh yeah I never got to hear the prophecy since we skipped it." The game acknowledges and remembers all of the stupid shit you do and will bring it up several chapters later. It makes your experience feel more personal.

The aborted weird routes are also a great example of this. It'll be interesting to see how a post-mindraped Noelle will act in an aborted weird route and if it'll make any meaningful difference to the plot.

I just know the excuse for for us being unable to see any of the susie and noelle scenes is just going to be "YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO, THE CHARACTERS ARE REAL AND YOU, THE SOUL, ARE LIKE, INTERRUPTING THEIR WHOLESOME CHUNGUS LIFE!"
And the fans will unquestioningly eat that shit up, even though we have no fucking context to why Susie is acting like such a dull carboard cutout about Noelle the rest of the chapter.
