How are you doing? - Kiwi Farms Wellness Check

My finger is fucked and will (likely) never regain proper function, this isn't as big a deal as it sounds because I've got 9 other perfectly good digits and am already adept in their proper usage, but the fact I've de facto lost one of them and it's mostly my own damn fault is really annoying. Not sad, just really really annoying, when you fuck up in the way I did in a really anticipatable and preventable way what you feel is supreme annoyance at yourself, unless that tendon magically respawns it's never gonna go away either, FUCKS SAKE.

Depends on which finger and which hand. Dominant?
My dominant index finger, I've always been in the habit of mixing and matching my middle/ring finger for delicate tasks so it's no great debilitation, just supremely annoying, because I literally can't even pick my nose without being reminded of the fact it doesn't fucking bend properly anymore reeeeeee

The last couple of months have taught me that forming social connections and falling in love naturally is pretty much a thing of the past. At least for people like "us".
Which is funny, because I'd say I've actually had better luck meeting people recently than I had for a while.
And no, contrary to what most the people on here would say, I'm inclined to say it's actually NOT because we're all booger eating spaz(zesses... Spazi?).
And it's not because people are all awful to deal with.
I've had so many wonderful interactions over the last couple of months with different types of people. It's not like how some 70s depiction of New York where people will glare at you for trying to start a conversation with them.

I just think things are different now. People can't open up anymore. Maybe they will but you really have to push. And I'm not some dude hiding in his room who's scared to touch grass. I'm extremely extroverted.

People are just weird now. Making natural human connections is a lot like getting a job anymore.
You want to make friends? Well that's easy. You make them through the friends you already have. So how do you make those friends. It's simple. Through the friends you have. And how do you make those friends? By having friends of course!

And you know... That sucks because I actually like people. Even though I've had a lot of heartache and trauma in the past, I find the overwhelming majority of them easy to get along with.

I think really the only thing you can do is focus on things you want to accomplish or things you enjoy. And that's fine and well.
But that is kind of an absurdist dystopian answer to everything.
"Oh you want romance, a family, some friends to vibe with? Well that sucks bro lol. Lmao, just get your finances right brah. Lol just take care of your body. Fuckin lol get gud bruv. You want the most fundamental thing every human craves? Just... Don't want that dawg. Just focus on yourself."

It just is a raw deal. It's not because we're just so autistic and broken we don't deserve the basics of human connection. Society just changed.

I think everybody knows they're getting a bum deal on some level. I think everyone working and hustling endlessly to support a crumbling economic system and that just being what life is supposed to be is such a nightmarish concept that I'm surprised people still do it.

I just... Know things weren't always like this.
There was a time when boys and girls just met naturally and it didn't take much effort and they weren't terrified of eachother. There was a time when you could find others into your niche hobbies and they weren't all a bunch of posturing political extremists. When you could go online and not instantly be demoralized because the Internet was pretty free and people made content as a hobby and not because they were trying to grift. There was a time where you just could make friends after having a conversation with them about their shirt. When there was more to actually do. I remember it. It wasn't that hard.
And it wasn't that long ago. I was kind of a goofball growing up but none of this shit people talk about now was much of an issue.

I'm impressed with myself for at least trying. I have put myself out there. I have actually met some cool people. I didn't just stay inside doomscrolling and bitching about women the last couple of months.
But I just think a lot of this has taken more effort than it needs to.

So I think for a while I'm just going to calm down and focus on certain things I've put on the back burner. I've got stories to write, things I want to be good at.
And despite the black pill lamenting, at least I have things that do bring me happiness. I like discovering new places, listening to music while I bike, watching films. I think I tried to be a normies for so long I forgot who I was. I'm just a nerd. I'm trying to get back to being that guy.

So that's my long way of just saying for everyone here having romantic struggles or feelings alienated from the outside world, don't be so hard on yourself. Maybe you're weird, maybe not. But it's just a different world now. That's not a good thing, but it's just the reality.

I think I have worked on myself. I think I am okay with my own company more than before. But of course I'm going to want some deeper connections with people. That's just natural. It's a bum wrap. The world wasn't taken from us, it was given away.

Don't know the answer, just some observations I've made as a dude who has indeed touched a lot of grass lately.

My finger is fucked
i am so sorry, that sounds terrible. it doesnt hurt, does it?

so the car died on the way home from the store. started smoking.
i pull over, some guy and his gf walk up to "help", and i do appreciate it, he was very nice..but he kept asking me shit that i obviously had no way of answering..i was like "idk anything about car stuff" and it was just a very awkward encounter.
at least i made it back i guess...im covered in chigger bites, it was like 100 degrees and i was stupidly wearing all black with my black children of the corn hat, i was regretting my fashion choices this afternoon

The more I love humanity in general the less I love man in particular. In my dreams, I often make plans for the service of humanity, and perhaps I might actually face crucifixion if it were suddenly necessary. Yet I am incapable of living in the same room with anyone for two days together. I know from experience. As soon as anyone is near me, his personality disturbs me and restricts my freedom. In twenty-four hours I begin to hate the best of men: one because he’s too long over his dinner, another because he has a cold and keeps on blowing his nose. I become hostile to people the moment they come close to me. But it has always happened that the more I hate men individually the more I love humanity.

After feeling nothing but anxiety over work all week, had a decent meeting with my full-time boss and a seriously great meeting with my part-time boss. Who told me that the other muckety-mucks at the part-time place really like me and that they're getting their shit together to get me on full-time ASAP.

Hope is such a terrible thing! I'd really, really like to get this one. For about a hundred reasons.

Booked some travel for the fall. Taking the kids to see a new part of the world they've never seen before, further from home than they've previously ever been. That should be fun. Also arranged for the kids to meet up with a couple of people holding jobs that are like the ones they want to have when they grow up. In spite of all the economic anxiety I've been feeling, I think they've been having a hell of a summer. Camp and activities and travel and friends and pets and big dreams, all the stuff of a childhood summer worth remembering. Any time I get too down about how shitty work is, I've always got that to remember...my kids are doing stuff my parents couldn't have dreamed of doing for me or my sibling when we were kids. And they're not on a fucking screen all day. That's gotta count for something.

Just found out that my ex-boss has fired another employee. The guy barely worked for over a month there without any major fuck ups and STILL wasn't paid a dime. How the fuck did I manage to work there for so long with this psycho in charge? Guys, I don't want to PL about other stuff this crazy cunt put me through, but if I stop showing up then some major fuckery has happened and thank you for everything. I just need to live another 9 days before I finally move into another place and exhale a long fucking sigh.

I have a job interview this Tuesday, I'm cautiously optimistic about it, the position pays 20 dollars an hour, which should be enough for me to eventually move into my own place and put some distance between me and my parents. The downside is that this is a retail position, which is not the best fit for an autist like me, but I have no other options right now.

Just....a bit blackpilled. Knowing that the people on this site will inherit the Earth and absolutely nothing will make them happy or satisfied or anything other than violent, miserable people who'll burn the world down just in the hopes that a few Jews or trannies will choke on the smoke.

You can still do that. It may be difficult but it's not a fad. It's always been hard.

Your mileage may wary but working retail for a year turned me from "shaking with cold sweats when talking with strangers" to "gives 0 fucks about walking up to someone to strike a conversation". So who knows?

I love talking to retail employees, it's like the only really good thing I'm good with. Problem is I get caught in the convo and it takes longer as a result.

>tio do you wanna see me flip the onions?
>tio do you like children?
>tio can you say sixty seven?
Another class of unruly children. Though i have one there, tiny like a bird, that volunteers to wash all the dishes. I've never seen a kid enjoying doing the dishes. Keeps tugging on my uniform and goes "can i wash them pls can i? can i? can i?". I don't oblige because i know other kids will take advantage of her

Just got home only to rest a bit and finish working on my mom's pool, finished the chemical shock treatment earlier this week now must do some more mechanical cleaning, scrub it good, filter and adjust the PH. I ain't letting that scamming pool guy overcharge her

I'll be another year older in a couple days. I get conflicted each year when that day comes. I took the week off from work, but I would still need to either apply for jobs or do/go something/somewhere recreational to unwind.
