I don’t trust any writer that says humanity will transform into apes and China will rule the earth because:

A. Chinese people eat apes. So, like, this ape furry coexistence world with China? Absurd. There would be China on ape crime on the daily. Also, most people would transform instead into white trash bikers and dog men with absurd size boobs and weiners from what I can tell on the internet.

2. Apes and ape men can’t use the internet. That’s a fact. So expecting ape people or Chinese apes in particular, to “patch the net” is a a foolish concept.

3. The cyber future will not cater to ape sex. It’s disgusting, eating they own poop and farting everywhere.

In short, I question this author.

Is sad how the VVEST doesnt have the same culture of the east (read: japan) to actually remember the devs names that made KINO, everyone knows who Miyazaki and his team are or Hideo Kojimbo, but no one knows who made fallout 1 and 2 save the name of the studio. Is so gay.

Someone I used to listen to for a British perspective was Academic Agent, who went completely off the deep end into elite theory that he ended up swallowing Soviet propaganda from the Stalin era wholesale. I'm not a proponent of horseshoe theory, but the way he continued to glaze over Mao, Stalin, and Kim Il-Sung was the closest I've come to seriously considering it to be true.

Recently he's stopped talking about politics. Hopefully he fucks off for a year and continues smoking cigars so he stops being retarded.

Uhhhhhhh look at this dude not knowing lord British, Roberta Willams, Warren Spector, Al Lowe, and that nigga Tim Fallon (related to jimmy fallon??) who did the OST for Pictionary for NES.

Or Mike Z, Vince Desi/Mike J, Gabe Newell, Marc Laidlaw, Micheal Kirkbride, Ken Levine, Randy Pitchford... The list goes on. Plenty of western developers are individually known outside of their studios. [For better or worse.]
 
This might be a hot take but does anyone actually give a fuck she laid off a bunch game devs? Like if there is one industry in America that needs cleansed completely outside of Hollywood, it's game development. Let it get outsourced to a bunch of Indians who are going to sit and there and do nothing but what the boss tells them to do, it's a lot better than the bullshit slop we've been fed for the last 12 years.

Unfortunately the layoffs hit some actually talented people as well. Sure a lot of commie dev chaff got hit too, but there's still plenty of them around. Then the applying for H1B's. If they just blanket fired all commie devs then deliberately hired actually skilled non-commie Americans in efficiently sized teams (team size 100-200 at most), it would be a positive, but replacing 3200 devs (95% commie chaff devs, 5% actually skilled devs), with 5000 h1b's is definitely not a positive.

I always assumed New Vegas strength came feel having Avellone on the team. Even if he wasn't lead for that game, he was for Fallout 2 and so having someone that involved in making one of the original games helps. Bethesda has never understood Fallout. I think both franchises could have been better off staying separate. Fallout 3 was an original IP before they bought the franchise and repurposed the game as they were unsure of releasing a big new game with a new IP.

The issue is, their new game was post apocalypse, and that's not what Fallout is, especially after 2. Bethesda Fallout don't feel like games set 200 years after the apocalypse. I think Bethesda's game would of been better without the Fallout IP and maybe Fallout 3 would of been the franchise to being CRPGs back instead of Baldurs Gate 3.

She's probably there for the "productivity" half of the task force since she was involved in AI before being put in charge of IP. Also, her lay offs were not as dramatic as expected and didn't result in studios closing. A few were allowed to go indie or seek buyers. Id was probably the closest to as studio dying, but ironically despite the conversation, Obsidian deserved it more.
