Futbol thread.

Yes, it's a big deal for many people; Cape Verde vs. Argentina had 2.7 billion viewers. But it's more like a religious ceremony; if you're not into World Cup soccer it will all seem kinda silly.
Ahh, yea, it did seem silly when they seemed so down. But I guess I'm just out of the loop!
Congrats on the jersey. I have a red Ghana jersey from 2014 with Prince Boateng's name and number.
Siiiiick!
Please kindly pass along my condolences to your family.
They'll be fine, lol. Thanks!

Paraguay doing an excellent job at defending. Their counters start out great but they fizzle out, either by an unprecise pass, or because only one player actually goes on the counter and he's left alone.
The 5-4-1 formation is why things fizzled out. Also loosing all their subs so early really killed any chance of a late game counter with fresh legs. The PK helped so much by taking pressure off Mbappe to hog the ball so he can keep up with Messi's goal count. IMO Paraguay's plan was to take the game to pk's and hope their absolute unit of a keeper (6'8" guy who could touch the top bar without jumping) could block more than the French keeper. If that pk had happened in the first and Paraguay had time to redo their formation for the second half the game could have ended differently.

So we taking bets on how badly England is going to suffer tomorrow? The Mexican national team has only ever lost two home games at the Estadio Azteca. It seats 100,000 of the most feral beaners you can possibly imagine who have been know to literally throw piss and shit at the away team. Add to that, Mexico Cities air quality is utter dog shit and it sits at high altitude.

And never mind the teams. Mixing the Mexican and English fans in the stadium could start a riot. The Mexican Police separate the pitch with riot cops and barbed wire.

Can't dislike Mbappe enough.

He has a gigantic head for someone who's highest honors in football are a World Cup where he played (arguably) 2nd fiddle (possibly even 3rd or 4th to Griezmann and Kante) to Pogba and others and a Champions League runner's up medal. He's a great player but his attitude and achievements aren't consummate. He possesses no humility.

He's a huge asshole too, he got but blasted at paraguayans cause they didn't treat them with kid gloves, and are not only sore losers but sore winners too. He is a true reflection of what France has become, an african who thinks he's better than everyone around, and whines like a bitch when things don't go his way, oh and faggot too.

Out of curiosity I checked reddit to see what they said of the match and everyone was mad at Paraguay saying they played dirty. There's no further proof needed that France is the quintesential redditor team.

Edit: and one more thing, its hillarious how the only in group preference euros conserved is when referring football, generally in a latam vs euro team, if the referee has euro backgorund he'll favor the euro country. And also I really hate how euros act all smug about playing clean football but play the spend their time diving and fouling when ever they can. They act pretty smug for countries being overrun by africans and mussies, who can even afford AC.

Última edición:
Looking foward to today's games.
Also the FIFA's pet nigger propaganda machine is going full throttle, calling paraguayans anti futbol. I'm not going to deny that Paraguay tried to do stupid shit they shouldn't have. But playing a more physical futbol is not anti futbol, it helps counter acting/flopping. And as usual they never show when the euros are being niggers, why they get smacked, when they act like sore winners, or all the shit they talk.
Damn this shit gets under my skin.

I swear there's a segment of football fans who hate football and want the sport to be a cross between Wenger and Guardiola's style where one team passes the ball around for 30 minutes and the only legitimate way for the other team to get the ball is for the first team to make a mistake. They hate pressing, they hate tackles and they think teams should just respect the other team with the ball as they're morally superior.

Spain and Barcelona's peak between 2008-2014 was probably the worst thing to ever happen to football.

Pretty surprising. It was a tackle that could've gone either way. Claus is infamous for being a fag of a ref and has been investigated before for corruption.

It's more likely that the US as hosts twisted the wrists of FIFA until they cried uncle, but Claus is still a fag.
