Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

She's become somewhat more actively hostile to troons and troonery in general, and now realizes that trans "women" really are just actually men. She used to go along with the bullshit about them being a sort of woman.
I won't lie, I think that's as a result of all the incredibly uneven vitriol thrown her way, I remember her discussing how she's had rape threats, death threats and all manner of things from troons who think that a great way to get their point across is to threaten a woman with violence. I'll go out on a limb and say after years of having an entire group of people actively throw those kinds of things at you day in, day out, you'll TEND to get to a point of being hostile back and being disgusted by their behaviour.

IF Troons were decent in any capacity, they'd view this "Transphobic attack" in the same way any normal functioning human acts around a celebrity who says something they don't like or feel offended by, they'd go "Oh, ok, I just won't interact with that persons' stuff or talk about them again" and move the fuck on. But they instead resort to the most gross means to try and bully/strong arm someone into their mindset and you KNOW if JK had at any point capitulated they'd be still wanting to flay her publicly and use her head as a trophy.

No one can guess what a person who died 30 years ago would think now about an issue that has changed beyond recognition since. We all change and change our minds over time.

Especially about trans stuff. 95% of people that are now gender critical/transphobic didn't give a shit or a thought about it 15 years ago. There have been so many threads in so many places where people queue up to explain what peak-transed them.

(Even here! I've only been on the Farms a few years so imagine my surprise a little while ago when I checked out Brianna Wu's original thread and discovered that you used to get told off for transphobia on KF back when!)

Valeria. Perfume-dabbed heart dotted over the 'I'. Sounds like a topical over-the-counter treatment for thrush or genital warts. A voice like a pantomime dame from the hallway that makes her father die a little inside.

"Are you ready for the surprise?"

"We're ready, dear."

No answer from the old man

"Tah da!"

She bursts theatrically into the front room in full Hogwarts uniform. Mini-skirt riding high over thirty-five year old, cottage cheese thighs. The wadded contents of the bra shifting as though unsure of their purpose.

“The surprise is… I GOT ACCEPTED TO HOGWARTS! I took the polyjuice potion and it turned me into a girl, but something went wrong and they can’t turn me back. The other thing is I won’t get older so I’ll be a student there forever.”

Brian Dabbs, who took a rubber bullet to the right eye while on the picket lines at Orgreave, half stares across the room at his wife, who mouths the word: ‘Don’t’. Slowly he gets up. Banishing his son to the dead-zone in his field of vision, he walks out, then out the front door.

“The Sorting Hat doesn’t know what house to put me in, so I’m allowed sleep in whatever girls dormitory I want.”

“You remember the conversation we had at the police station.” says Margaret. “Remember you agreed not to approach the girls from St Hilda’s, or go on the bus when they’re going to school or coming home.”

Valeria is a peevish blight on the household, filling the void on the settee left by her now absent father, manspreading, a phallic bulge showing through purple satin panties. The masculine elements of her face haunt the screen of the iPad as a dim reflection. On the TV, in the corner of the room, the author J K Rowling is talking to Queen Camilla, the two women smiling at each other.

“DEATH EATER!” screams Valeria, suddenly upright. Her left boob has freed itself and protrudes from the base of her white blouse like a tumour. She points the wand, that her father made for her when she was eight and still a boy; yells the death curse.

Trannies just love headcanon. Their headcanon is that princess di, a pretty, mainstream, powerful woman, would swoop in and protect them from the heckin’ evil transphobes. She would basically be a surrogate mother figure to them, providing validation. Trannies are pathetic, they’re scum, and they will never be women

I think it's common with dead celebrities, not just Princess Di, that their fans project their views onto them and say they would agree with them about just about everything. Hell, if JK Rowling had dropped dead in 2010 or whatever, before the current nonsense, they'd probably be saying that she'd be flying the flag for them and would be a great trans ally or whatever and, given some of her past positions (particularly on Dumbledore being gay) it wouldn't be entirely unfair of them to think that. But people can surprise you.

There was quite a dispute like that a couple of years ago over Terry Pratchett, whose daughter Rhiannon is very pro-trans. IMHO Terfs were foolish to argue over this one. Of course Pratchett was and would still be a TRA, we're talking about a grown-arse man who still dressed as Indiana Jones in his mid-60s.

Mind you, I remember queer types being very angry about the end of Deathly Hallows because it was too "heteronormative", I guess because nobody was in same-sex relationships in the epilogue.

I feel like I outgrew Harry Potter after like... 2011. The final movie came out, so now the Potterheads can shut the fuck up. I'm not keen on Joanne's writings, let alone her garden variety liberal politics, but y'know what? She's richer than I'll ever be, she donated to tons of charities for women, and she consistently and persistently makes troons cope seethe and dilate. She can make Dumbledore gay and Hermione black and make horrible musicals and spin-offs that further dilute the weight of her magnum opus all she wants. Just keep the tranny tears coming.

Dunno enough about Terry Pratchett to agree or disagree. But I think of Christopher Hitchens. Vehemently against the Gulf War, anti-interventionist. If he'd died in 2000 lots of people would be saying he would be against the Iraq War. But he wasn't. He flew the flag for the Iraq War massively. Completely bucked the Left by doing it.

As late as that? I lost interest in it about 2003. I've never understood what the big deal is. JK coming out against troons is honestly the best thing she's ever done. Because you know a lot of these angry troons have arrested development and Harry Potter is the only book they've ever read

Because it was the only Accelerated Reader book series that wasn't either some hideously old novel more appropriate for a high school sophomore English class or something horribly infantile.... oh and the books were constant mainstays of Scholastic book fairs. Throughout middle school, my go-to book series was a two-way tie between Harry Potter and A Series of Unfortunate Events. Eragon fucking sucks ass; shitty prose masking a Star Wars meets Lord of the Rings concept that How to Train Your Dragon did infinitely better. Chronicles of Narnia was always a mainstay, but there are only so many times I can reread The Horse and His Boy or The Silver Chair or Prince Caspian before I get bored because I already read it twice over in primary school.

Then the movies constantly had marathons on ABC Family. SpikeTV marathoning Godfather instead of Star Wars for the umpteenth time? Hey, might as well watch Goblet of Fire and finally get a chance to watch Order of the Phoenix, right?

Breadtuber Shaun even made an entire video on it. Troons flocked to his Discworld novels since his daughter declared her support for all things troon. She takes delight in 'owning' the TERFs and being the epitome of the troon Handmaiden.

I've posted these stats before, but these are the monthly numbers for Queen TERF's IP. It also so happens that the most popular gay fanfic, 'All the Young Dudes', will be made into an independent novel, 'Wolfboy'. The author, who proudly shouted that she does not support JKR's 'disgusting transphobic views', is now looking at a seven-figure deal for the novel. Queen TERF is making all sorts of people millionaires.

Here were the numbers for May:

I just read comic books. And, in reading comic books, got into proper literature. Like, I used to read a lot of Frank Miller. Daredevil, Batman, etc. Frank Miller talked a lot about how he used to read Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler, and how he used to watch a lot of film noir. So I got into watching a lot of film noir, and Humphrey Bogart, and I got into reading Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler, James Ellroy, all of that. So American Comic Books kind of mandated my mental curriculum

Dawg you're talking to a person who used to unironically hang out at the public library after school to read manga volumes and the latest issues of Shonen Jump and Shojo Beat magazines way back when. That's all well and good, I'm glad you had success with reading comics in class, I had stodgy old farts for English teachers who wanted "real" books and not comics.

It's funny how these people have no problem using the dreaded TERF's intellectual property as a means to springboard their own careers but they still have to denounce her regardless. These people have no real conviction.

JK Rowling is one of the very few celebrities that each time she's in the news, I like her more. As a little chud, I've read the Harry Potter books. I liked it. Later on I've watched the Harry Poter movies. I liked it. Now JK Rowling is just a multi-millionaire with a hobby of making the troons seethe and dilate by simply saying obvious stuff like "men are not women". I like it.
Based username, based take.

PTerry would be pro-trans, there is no dispute imo. He wrote the whole female dwarf coming out story after all. (Because all dwarves, even females have beards so it's very problematic or something.) Very schizo take, but disguised in the fact that he was fundamentally writing the equivalent of novel shitpost on fantasy genres.

I gotta say that “protect the dolls” is not a catchphrase that helps their cause at all. Really ups the creepiness factor
It’s where the 100% autism rate in the troon population really helps us evil TERF Nazis. They assume everyone is as obsessed with trannyism as they are, and consequently they say the stupidest shit because they don’t realise they aren’t in their bubble.
She's become somewhat more actively hostile to troons and troonery in general, and now realizes that trans "women" really are just actually men. She used to go along with the bullshit about them being a sort of woman.
Troons make their own enemies and I love it.

Yeah, I mean years of death and rape threats tend to do that. It's funny because she clearly started out with fairly milquetoast nice liberal lady opinions on the subject matter.

Somewhat is seriously underselling it. I remember reading the original statement that started the whole thing and thinking it was so weak. It was barely resistance. It was all "I love trans people but..." And now:
