I think it's sad that Charlie Kirk touched so many people, especially religious Christians who sing at murderchurch, but none of them made a tribute song for him besides Migger Gun Kelly Tom MacDonald. Imagine having your tribute song be AI slop in the same genre as classics like "I Glued My Balls to My Butthole Again".

So either Charlie Kirk was a confused motherfucker, or his Christianity was just a grift. It's one of those "Were you lying then or lying now?" situations for him.
I'm trying to remember what Kirk said about empathy. I think it was something like empathy is a mistake, because it was a hot topic with guys like JD Vance denouncing it as making you too supportive of being nice to people, but then he bookended his agreement with Vance by disagreeing with the idea you shouldn't try to be more empathetic with others.

In other words, he could end up supporting pretty much everyone's position even if it meant contradicting himself within the same breath.

Though honestly I think a good way to judge people's beliefs is to find out what they'd do in practice. Like if Kirk was supportive of gays, what did that mean in practice? Did he support gays marrying in the eyes of the government even if he didn't think it'd hold up in the eyes of his church? If he wanted more support for the poor did this mean he wanted expansions to medicare? Or what?

Because honestly much of the time when political figures are put on the spot they'll just spout empty platitudes to defend themselves and if you started getting into what they'd intend be done in practice they'd get angry or flabbergasted (common thing you'd see with guys like Tucker for instance).

This is what he said about empathy. Definitely not something a sociopath would say, nope!

He does know that just because someone takes a short position, that doesn't make the security go down, right?
I gotta jump in with a reddit style '''technically''' here, as it would technically move the price of the security down (as its a sell). However, if we are being realistic, the impact of that is basically super duper minimal and anyone who is 'complaining' about it in any realistic terms has 0 clue about market microstructures etc.
