So when I say they will have it the hardest, I dont mean the job market, inflation, or opportunities. I mean these kids are going to literally be more stupid than most other generations. Like it will be a struggle to come to work, with a uniform on, and focus on a task (because everyone decided a 9 year old will be able to sit at home, on a zoom call, and learn anything. )That it wouldn't be a complete waste of time. Side note, e-learning days are now a norm for students, so kids collectively go to school less, and get free days to fuck around online for no reason.

Someone made this point in the thread which talked about Karmelo Anthony, but imagine being on trial in 2050, and your "peers" which make up the jury are all Gen Alpha fully grown adults who can't read and have had their attention spans nuked because of TikTok and Instagram Reels.

School isn't useless. It's the "current year" educators who are. It so simple to teach people and teach them well that we've done it reliably for thousands of years. New technologies have never been this disruptive; not the PC, handheld calculator or even the smartphone. And that's because in the past we mitigated the methods that these could be used to disrupt the learning process. The educators of today have all the tools needed to adapt to the modern disruptions, but they choose to do nothing. >Math exam?
