US Mitch McConnell was found ‘unconscious’ in DC home last month, may have suffered heart attack

WASHINGTON — Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was found “unconscious” and may have suffered a heart attack at his DC residence before being rushed to a local hospital last month, according to a District Fire and EMS dispatch call made public Wednesday.

The June 14 call referenced medical personnel in an ALS, or Advanced Life Support, ambulance being sent to the home shortly before 9 a.m. and mentioned there was “CPR in progress” for a “cardiac arrest.”

Punchbowl News first reported on the EMS radio traffic.

Reps for the former Senate GOP leader did not comment on the communications.

A McConnell spokesman on the day of the incident shared that the Kentucky senator “was admitted to the hospital this morning” and was “receiving excellent care.”

The next day, spokesman David Popp said McConnell was “working closely with staff on Senate business and Kentucky matters as he continues his recovery.”

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) also said his predecessor was “dialed in” on their conference’s legislative business, while Thune himself had spoken to McConnell by phone.

The 84-year-old has suffered multiple falls that left him with a concussion and cracked rib in recent years, in addition to eerie public freeze-ups due to apparent light-headedness.

In February, McConnell was previously hospitalized for flu-like symptoms. He’s been seen recently in the Capitol being escorted around in a wheelchair.

The Senate is on recess until July 13.

McConnell served as the leader of the Senate GOP from 2007 until January 2025. He had announced his plans to step down from the position in February of this previous year.

In February 2025, he announced that he wouldn’t be seeking re-election to an eighth term in 2026. Rep. Andy Barr (R-Ky.) won the Republican primary race this year to replace him.

It’s John McCain and Ruth Bader Ginsburg all over again. Sometimes I wonder if the Soviets felt the same way about their gerontocrats during their USSR’s decline.

If your health is so dire that you can't participate in governance like you were elected to do for an extended period of time, there needs to be some official process for remedying that. It's not even an age thing, Fetterman probably shouldn't be in office either and Rep. Tom Kean of New Jersey just got reelected despite having disappeared for four fucking months due to "depression." And Graham Platner will probably end up schizo if he gets elected.

I'm sure the government will get right on that

too many poppers for dudes blowing out his asshole. McConnell is a well known philanderer and inhalants addict. I know a lot of duster gets mailed to mitch. people have commented that he must have really dusty electronics. Nope. Mitch blows that duster into a rag and gives it a varsity sniff. Not knocking the guy for doing duster, its economical. But he's well off enough to at least do crack. But the duster got him twisted now.

How much more adrenochrome do they need to pump into this turtle on a daily basis? Popping the fattest champagne (made in Washington) bottle when the shell becomes his coffin.

Aren't poppers mainly used by gay men? Because it loosens your asshole so you can have anal sex.

Amyl nitrite is an old timey treatment for angina, so he might have picked it up that way. Young straight people sometimes use them for the psychological effects. Vasodilators will loosen your brain as well as your heart and your butt.

Finally, he's fucking off to the great beyond.
He might be dead already and they just don't feel like telling us.
This dude is so ugly, a primary reason why "lookism" going mainstream would have benefits. No one under at least a 6 should ever hold any position of power from McDonalds manager to any role in Government.
OK, Clavicular

If he's had a heart attack, I can't see him living for much longer. Mitch has been suffering from central cyanosis based on his purple lips lately. That means the blood oxygen levels are low making any recovery quite challenging. Theres evidence he's had several micro strokes where he just freezes in the middle of the congressional halls.

@Otterly can give a better outlook on his health.

Ace of Spades HQ was pointing out how this is all Soviet-esque - these people are supposed to be our public servants and we have a right to know where the fuck they are, but the Congresscritters think they're entitled to keep that information to themselves.
Is Ace still using "Aryan" as his go-to insult for anti-war right wingers, or did his masters tell him that was a little too on the nose?

Anyway

"The Palantir Manifesto"—the series of tweets that got called that—is largely about forbidding the citizenry from knowing anything about the ruling class, because any facet of the panopticon being transparent from both ends interferes with our rulers' freedom to implement Our Democracy.

A dead legislator is voting? Not news.

How long was Dianne Feinstein totally mentally wiped before they let us see it? Decade or so?

Biden has been mentally incapacitated since 1988. He was never Vice President, let alone President. Any admissions of that yet?

You'll know nothing and be immiserated.
