I’m more concerned with the unchecked self proclaimed power that the Supreme Court has that has been bullshit since marbury vs Madison. This is another extension of that. The people have no veto against the interpretation of a Supreme Court justice. Because, I mean who even are “Americans”?they can be anyone whose parents come from anywhere of any status? Because congress fumbled some shit and then judges said “oh well!” Like that is not fighting words for the people?

Since the SC declared they are the constitutional deciders, alone, it means they can just say whatever they want based on their own opinions, even if it’s 5-4 and we didn’t even elect them? They stay there forever? And the bullshit expectation is that we get to vote for president or congress?

At this point citizens should be able to propose legislation and have their own referendums on the SC. on EOs. On whatever the hell we like.

What if the opinion of a judge or the law written by some critter doesn’t work for the people? What then? What if a state doesn’t agree? The average citizen has no standing. It’s like being in a dumb historical drama but you can’t get out of it. Who wrote this shit show, a comedian?

I walked in with my purple drank and fine hos, only to see we're talking about the 11 witnesses. In reality nothing has even really changed. Birthright was already the law of the land. It's disappointing because we were all hoping it would finally be over, but in reality it's just back to the status quo.

Supreme Court reform will only occur if/when democrats take back congress and the presidency and it's already looking like the former is going to happen this year. It remains to be seen what will occur for the orange nigger for Republicans to lose the presidency. You can bet your first-born they will pack the court as soon as they can. The orange nigger doesn't have the stones to pack the court with right-wingers. Bish. :diddler:

The damage the 14th Amendment has caused and the way it continues to be used to protect every federal overreach imaginable is horrific. This Amendment ratified in 1868 while the southern states were held under Federal occupation is the worst outcome of the Confederacy loosing the war.

Last I checked there weren’t Mormons in the Supreme Court and they overwhelmingly voted for Trump/securing the border. 🤷‍♂️ I’m a bit frustrated at center right Catholics because they repeatedly side with the left on important issues like this. We can and should change this though.

That’s basically all I care about. Do you support securing the border and stopping anchor babies? If no, I don’t want you in office. I don’t care how based or traditional you supposedly are.

In terms of religion and state we need to stop pretending it’s neutral. The left doesn’t. That’s why I support conservative Latin masses, conservative Christians, and conservative Jews in taking back their churches and synagogues by any means necessary. Unironically the American right should emulate the American left and take over all the institutions including the religious ones. We should make the pope a chud. We should take back the Presbyterian churches. We should take the king of England and replace them with one of our chuds/puppets and make the Church of England based again. We should drive out the communists from the churches and the synagogues with whips.

The left doesn’t care for the distinction of politics and religion and we shouldn’t either. Drive them out with whips regardless of their congregation. We can’t have libtards running our dioceses, synagogues, and churches.

We should also take control of the American Orthodox Church to limit influence from Russia/Brics.

Packing the court means even worse outcomes regardless of who is in charge, and it’s not reform it’s more cancer.

It could be a lot worse.

The US constitution limits the Supreme Court to interpreting law against the Constitution. They can't write laws. Supreme Court justices can be impeached, too. They also have to go through a bipartisan confirmation process, so there is a chance to keep the really bad ones off the SC bench.

In Canada, the Supreme Court can create law and is above the constitution. They are also appointed by the Prime Minister, and appointments in Canada do not need any confirmation and cannot be fought against or overturned. They are in for life with no mechanism for the removal of bad actors.
 
I saw three things that can be immediately done with basically no real pushback due to current law:

1) Trump can still do an EO banning birthright to all US Territories, because the executive has control over those areas. This cuts off the Pacific islands being a Chyna breeding ground of fake American faggots.
2) ban all third trimester pregnant women from entering the country
3) pregnancy tests both in applying for visas and on the spot arrival pregnancy tests before clearing customs

The court strikes down the executive order.

It is ultimately a 6-3 ruling.

The court holds that the order violates the 14th Amendment.

Thomas has a dissenting opinion, joined by Alito; Alito and Gorsuch filed dissenting opinions.

Kavanaugh concurs in the judgment and dissents in part. He says that the EO does not violate the 14th Amendment but does violate the federal statute that codified the 14th Amendment.

Sotomayor, Kagan, Barrett, and Jackson join the Roberts opinion in full.

Roberts concludes that children born to parents who are in the United States unlawfully or temporarily are "born in the United States" and "subject to the jurisdiction thereof." "Under the Constitution, they are citizens at birth."

Anyone who thought Trump had a chance here was seriously coping hard. The swing Justices have a clear pattern of generally allowing 'reasonable' conservative wins here and there but consistently step in and slap trump down for perceived radical changes and overbroad power grabs. And like it or not removal of birthright citizenship is by large amounts of people outside of conservatives considered a pretty big change. Even among conservatives it was considered an unlikely pipe dream up until recently due to the extra mental work you have to do to contort your way around the Constitutional text.

The silver lining for conservatives is maybe this will show the left that the Court is reasonable to them and they don't have to be so bent on destroying it but maybe thats cope too.

The left has already decided the Supreme Court is a illegitimate institution.

This week Roberts has made sure the right has decided that as well.
