Dead by Daylight and other Asymmetric Slasher Games - Discuss the games and the autistic/entitled communities around them

This does, however, make Legion a pretty damn good pick right now.

I will try legion and maybe plague since the only item they given to killer are toxic bottles, meanwhile surv have more clutches to make killer a real cancer experience.

besides a few strategies like using the posion to revive old legion
LEGION! LEGION! LEGION!!!!

I'm probably not going to bother much with this event this year, it sounds a bit obnoxious, and I don't really feel like it. Also they gave me 5 million Bloodpoints so I'm good on those now.

Just going to mention that Knight's guards track through invisibility, phase through all pallets(And due to a glitch now pass through pallets on the first run through every time, meaning that the counterplay of "pre-drop, run the loop once, then move to a new loop" is no longer possible), and make survivors seethe.
Now, I'm not saying you should start playing Knight and use a mixture of passive generator slowdown and information perks while using your guard patrols to listen for generators being repaired(works great in tandem with Gearhead and the fact that ANY DAMAGE procs gearhead), but...

Never thought I'd see the day where BHVR gives survivors rage hacks but as an event bonus. Genuinely what the fuck were they thinking with this event mode? I watched some footage and I thought I was watching a cheat advertisement video. Doesn't help that the base game perks that got released with this chapter are also akin to cheats.

I recommend to just boot the game to menu and get free 15m BP:
DBD10BIRTHDAY code - 10m
In-game inbox - 5m

This will get you around 350 event offerings. Then you can close the game and go play something fun while survivors enjoy the power tripping.

My GM at work was trying to tell me that the event wasn't survivor sided. And Killers are actually super strong with the poison. Because a global heal, invis, endurance and unbreakable pallets isn't op. Do I even has to say he's a survivor main or is it self evident?

Tell your GM kindly to: fuck off and get more hrs before comment about the game balance.

Enough to tell ya that a solid SWF or comp pub stomp would 100% woop the floor with you when playing killer because of how they can coordinate to put meals on the table to get free perfect heals for days while in chase with 1 surv.

Killers only have poison bottles because it drastically hinders & nullify any of their mov speed perks.

But other than that SWF squad, trios, duos or not: You're always going to get punished for any of the surv meals effects which could prolong, cut or even be forced to not tunnel for put pressure in the match at 3/2 gens.

If i were you I be unfriending him and pray to get him in a random lobby to mori him as soon as possible to teach him a lesson.

Any surv main it's an entitled piece of shit who's going to complain enough when killer mains gets anything to make of their experience enjoyable at the expense of theirs over anything.

It's an interesting topic because the poison bullshit is very boring and annoying IN A VACUUM. Like yea getting hit with an "uncounterable" (perk dependent) injury is gonna suck ass HOWEVER that one little poison flask is fucking nothing compared to the buffs survivors get. JCGlitchmaster did a vid on it and he was playing in a duo and just 2 people comming managed to make an entire match unplayable for the killer. Not to mention that if you run Fixated and Champion of Light you can just counter the poison effect for the 20 something seconds it's active for.

If my manager talked to me about dead by daylight, I'd demand a meeting with HR that they fire him.

Wait until he's stuck between the two pallets at Midwich's clock tower, and stays stuck in there the entire game.

I did dealt with that combo with a few duos lobbies.

But then again I play nurse, kaneki, bubba and blight so basically none of these killers eat that much shit unless being an actual comp tryhard team. yes even in this event gamemode

When I see they're faggot ttv's group or solo. then i disregard to put event cake and just go straight with ebony to btfo with anti-heal slug build or gen regression totem build. I highly not going at all to give any faggot bp multiplier if they're swf in any shape of form.

He said he saw someone get stuck at The Game for 2 entire minutes because of an unbreakable pallet and survivors combo'ing the effect back to back. "But killer has strong stuff too" because I guess in his mind Bubba poison into chainsaw is comparable to what survivors get. Then again he has a tard session when I say that Kaneki isn't the #1 killer, and you just have to play around him. He's just a killer that makes survivor players do something besides pre-drop and hold W so they hate him. When I try to tell him about this he just cites some "My MMR is high, and I played against a killer TTV who was on a 300 game win streak as Kaneki" I just don't think his neurons are working...

I'd love to see a source for that because from my experience playing as and against him if the surv team has a combined IQ of 2 and knows how to play most tiles which is a really big ask from the survivor players he is basically powerless. I loved the whining every retard had when they removed an exploit that nullified his power because being able to phase through and vault through the killer was totally fine.

I sent him a video explaining how to counter Kaneki and he's still like "If I got against him I might as well not try because hes so op, he can just slingshot around loops." ignoring the fact Kaneki can't M1 for a few seconds after using his power. You just have to play loops differently. But that's a tall ask like you said. But survivor mains will just cry about anything Killer gets thats half decent till its nerfed into the ground. And then wonder why no one plays Krasue anymore...

There is a really unhealthy phenomenon in this game about calling exploits "techs". There was the vault "tech" I mentioned against ghoul that basically made him have 0 chase power and people were just ok with it. When I first saw it I was like "ok it will get patched soon" but the devs basically came out and said "yea its intended", they only fixed it because people made a big enough stink about it. As a side note people are gonna drop Jason like a sack of puppies after the honeymoon period ends in a bit. Like aside from his temu spirit ability and having 1 throwable that you need to reload he has nothing going for him and BHVR even preemptively nerfed him from the PTB while leaving cross examination unchanged until the bug fix patch.

I 100% agree, I rather play Huntress or spirit and have a way better time than as Jason. My GM was trying to tell me Jason gets a free hit from using his teleport... as if you're not stuck in an animation phasing back in. And survivors can just crouch and completely counter your power. He was trying to tell me Jason is top tier and if he was just base 115% he would be op. I really wonder what game some of these survivor mains are playing.

Yeah, I saw that. Just completely removes Ghoul's entire power. Nothing like being forced to play a powerless 115% killer because survivors can use your own power against you.

Jason will always be popular because he's a basic m1 killer with high macro mobility, he'll never be unpopular because even if you only use his power to move from gen to gen you're getting value. Its basically like the m1 blights that don't use his power in loops.

The ranged attack is really just a bonus for those players and the synergy with totem builds is an extra bonus. No, he's not the strongest killer, but he can put the game on hold until a chase starts and he's a basic killer fforp eople who just want to mp1.

The game actually massively lacks "I just want to w and m1" killers.
