One big way I could imagine them ruling, if it's favorable, is to distinguish "jurisdiction" as full political/legal allegiance, instead of it being mere territorial presence. The ruling would state that illegals are not fully "subject to the jurisdiction" because they are in violation of federal immigration law and as such owe primary allegiance to their country of origin. It could also potentially apply to people here on temporary status like the Haitians.
The question is did they lose because people didnt like the over reach, or because people genuinely want what trump is selling?

I believe they lost because left overreached with immigration (and woke) during Biden's presidency. I think Trump would have lost in 2024 if we had minimal immigration and minimal woke and a tiny bit better economy.
To be fair if we had all that we wouldn’t have needed Trump all that badly. The current Democrats are the ones that turned many people right wing. I bet most (if not all) people here would’ve been left wing 15-20 years ago.
