That first speech Vance gave at the Munich Security Conference he made the German PM cry and every European bureaucrat scowl the entire time. He knew they didn’t know anything about him and it was his first opportunity to “set the tone” for the Trump / Vance term and chose violence. I still love that speech because it really felt like he was channeling what many Americans feel towards Europe’s leaders.
