this is a guy who doesn't even have the good sense to refund something after wagequitting in under 2 hours. he's spent thousands on pokemon cards, and tens of thousands on mobile games. he's bought street fighter 6 deluxe edition 3 times, and 3 nearly identical fightsticks to use with it. I don't even know how many "pro" controllers he's bought in the last 5 years. reserving 4 consoles for preorder is honestly kind of small beans for him.
No, see, he CAN'T refund the game because if he refunds the game then he's admitting that he's POOR and the detractors win.

Also for you guys speculating about credit - you can easily get credit cards as soon as a year and a half to two years after bankruptcy. It's not hard. Think about it. Credit card companies WANT to loan you money, because idiots like Phil will rack up huge amounts of debt. Even if they declare bankruptcy again, they've already made their money back on interest.
Even less than that with shit creditors like Credit One that will accept anyone. It comes with no perks, high interest rates, at least a secured deposit and probably annual fees too which Phil will pay without thinking.

Seeing him crackfiend for pokemon tells me that he atleast has a credit card or hes paying shit in installments. Now hes gonna get a steam machine that is worse than his pc(i think) just to say he has the most current shiny toy. I legit think he wont like the steam machine and it will be delegated to background prop after a month or so.

What's funny to me is I can envision how this goes: At some point he'll run into a technical snag where the steam machine doesn't run completely perfectly and he'll be forced to actually use his brain. Depending on the discourse surrounding it he'll either start calling it a complete scam or come up with some cope about how "he likes the steam machine" but it's just not for gaymers like him. There is absolutely zero chance he would continually use or praise it since that's all contingent on it never mildly inconveniencing him.

Reminder that DSP has to restart his router every time he adds a new device to it, and will have to do this for the rest of his life because he can't be bothered to do basic troubleshooting.

Phil once said that the best deal on credit was the one with the lowest monthly payments. I think it was for a car, but it might have been his mortgage. I wouldn't be surprised if he has been putting all of the Pokemon cards on credit. In his head he is thinking "I make 50 dollars per pack and only have to pay 1 dollar per month for each one. I make 49 dollars profit on every pack." He probably does the same with DoorDash. People think he does the DSP tries it stuff so he can claim it as a business expense, but I think it might just be so he can cope and convince himself that it's a smart purchase to pay 25 dollars for 10 dollars worth of food.

He lacks both a basic understanding of finances and an ability to plan for the well-being of Future Phil. 100% chance he is financing every tiny thing he can.

He has said that for unsecured credit too, when somebody in chat asked him why he never paid more than the minimum every month on his credit cards his answer was something like "why would I do that, paying minimums means I have more money now". Literally zero understanding of interest or compound interest, if you take him at his word he thinks banks offer lower payments/payment plans out of the kindness of their hearts.

I disagree, he has flat-out said the old "Cooking with the King" videos were done to make money back on meals he was going to cook anyways and he has always been willing to pay extra for convenience.

ETA - a few words to clarify the question about credit cards.

Oh my god now he's talking about doing a "TCG show." As a recurring thing. Streams entirely dedicated to his beloved Pokemon cards.

This is going to reach such unfathomable depths of autism, both his and his paypigs', and I am here for it. Inject their autism into my veins. I crave it. I joy it.

Considering the slow crawl of more and more cultlike language into his attempts to milk his ever-shrinking audience (constantly referring to everything as "we/us/our/etc," regularly stoking an Us Versus Them mentality against the detractors, and more recently fostering the parasocial angle with talk about spending time together and hanging out meaningfully), I truly think if Phil keeps this freak show going for another 25-30 years we might literally see a day he talks like this.

And it would absolutely work on his retards.
Remember when he called his viewers/dents "my friends" for a while?

Watch gta6 launch on his day awff and he has to play it a day late because of the Holy Schedule
Alright guys it's day 273 of GTA VI, we're almost out of the tutorial area and about to unlahk some new parts of the mayupp. Now, you said you guys wanted this but it's been almost an hour today and I've only made ten dahlers.
There was nothing he could do about dat. He did everything right. It's the STUPID COMPANY'S fault for releasing the game on his day off. They don't know how to run a business like Phil, that's why he's sussessful and Rockstar is failing. GTA 6 is about to be the biggest flop in gaming history if Phil isn't streaming it on day 1.

I just egged WiggaWill to give dsp an extra 5 subs on kick. He was complaining that he needed the extra 25 bucks for dinner but Phil sniped our conversation and emphasized that if he gave another 5 subs, it'd count as an extra pack. I just denied a dent his dinner. I am a monster.

What have I done?

Doing a TCG show for a game that you've never played/don't know the rules of for a franchise you don't like/understand sounds exactly like something Phil would suggest.

Like...what's he going to do, talk about the value of the cards he's opened? He can't actually talk about the playability of the card, what decks it fits into or anything else you'd expect from an actual TCG stream.

There is NO excuse to not donate if you're watching. I'm sorry to hear that you're a dentractor though.

Here's an easy way to fill the divot in your skull:

Managing symptoms is the best you can do, the condition is unfortunately progressive and terminal.

Yes. And about how successful the pahck openings are. And about how the troles are obsessed no-life losers. And about how he has big muscles now.

It will literally just be an extended pre-stream because he hates playing video games and he's testing the waters to see if he can just replace some/all of the streams with long pre-streams that he calls something else.

It will be a regular prestream/daily wrap/talking segment only instead of recapping and rerrcapping his stream he goes through all the different boxes he has opened, the order, how long it takes to get boxes, the time he was worried about reseals, all the level 0 information about the cards he has learned, how he’s successful and detractors are jealous, etc.
