Movies considered bad, but you unironically like

(I think that goes without saying for old Italian B-movies).

"Italian B-Movies", I dare to say that even being objectively bad, many of them tends to be entertaining

Street Fighter is a great movie. It's only "bad" because edgybois and purists are mad its a straight-forward, light-hearted action comedy instead of a gritty tournament movie. Even the arcade game is awesome, and it's a shame they never ported it to consoles (the home version is some weird reskinned version of one of the traditional games).

Plus Cammy Minogue.

2003 Daredevil movie (specifically, the Director's Cut)

Look, I know it's cringe. I know both both of the leads were horribly miscast and awful in their roles. I know it gets a lot of the things people enjoy about Daredevil completely wrong (that the television show later did quite well, until it didn't). Yeah the soundtrack gets flak, but I have nostalgic associations with that era of post-grunge, mad suburbanite rock music and it vibes with me. Colin Ferrel's Bullseye was firmly in "so bad it's good" territory. Michael Clarke Duncan was a great Kingpin. The theatrical version was a chopped-up mess on top of it, but the Director's Cut fixes those issues. It's better than the first X-Men movie for me, and roughly on par with the first Spider-Man, when we look at the last wave of pre-MCU superhero flicks.

Is Van Hellsing considered bad? Because if it is, then it fits the thread theme since I enjoyed it a lot and still think it deserved more.
It's definetly way to underrated. Sure it's a lot "rule of cool", but I was entertained during the whole movie. The only thing I consider bad is the reveal that Van Hellsing is Archangel Gabriel, which adds nothing to the story and makes Van Hellsing way less interesting since before he was just a badass normal.

The Liam Neeson Les Mis from ’98 that’s NOT a musical. Geoffrey Rush plays Javert like an autistic cop.

The 2012 musical version is gayer and worse. So yeah, the ’98 one is actually better.
Norbit definitely counts.
Rasputia’s got these gang banger brothers who will cap Norbit if he leaves? It’s the hood version of all those old romantic comedies where the guy marries some bimbo and her father threatens to cut his balls off.... Remember the father-in-law coming at him with a cheese knife in Arthur?

Joe Dirt (2001)
oardefault (3).jpg
This movie has a 9% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, because critics are lemon-sucking, joyless assholes. David Spade has never been funnier than here as the mullet wearing lovable loser with a heart of gold. He's so relentlessly positive you can't help but root for Joe even when the Farrelly brothers tier jokes are hit and miss.

You're gonna stand there, ownin' a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistlin' bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser?

Keep on keepin' on. 🤘🚬🪣

I don't have time for the stupid "comedy" in III, but I kinda enjoy Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. In retrospect Gene Hackman was the engine behind the whole series, he made Luthor magnetic as fuck.

I even Jon Cryer as Lenny in small doses. He looks like a coked up rat.

But all the criticisms are valid, and I feel bad for that Mac MacDonald guy because he didn’t join Superman or Red Dwarf at their heights.
