His parents, being right wingers that don't trust sensible government, won't comply with the new garage door battery backup law, calling it "stupid government overreach". Then, when local police have to stop ICE raids, ICE, in their recklessness, will start a wildfire, causing massive evacuations. All of Bryan's minority classmates' families' garage doors will work and they will all escape to safety. Bryan and his family will remain trapped in their garage and burn to death. Afterward, at the conclusion, Bryan's classmates will mutually agree that while it kind of sucks that Bryan died in a fire, he also kind of deserved it. But, they will conclude Bryan did one good thing: by dying in a fire, he became a example of why it is important to a make sure your parents install a battery backup for the garage door, and test it regularly.

I think a major misgiving people have with the AI datacenter craze is the potential for it to make the great depression look fucking quaint if it doesn't produce results considering that it is the prime thing driving the economy at the moment. There are complaints that are more true than others and complaints that are less grounded in reality than others. Ultimately I don't think it is unreasonable for people to feel like we are in hostile waters beyond the ken of the boomers running this joint.
