I'm not sure about him, but I also watched that video and one moment that was brought up that I hadn't heard of before was Dobson getting into a slapfight with a group of teenagers on Facebook after one of them jokingly asserted that he smelled like hot dog water. Upon seeing this, Dobson proceeded to dox one of said teenagers in his response, and in the flamewar that ensued Dobson never apologized for this or admitted any wrongdoing whatsoever as was typical from him. It was pretty much the exact same song and dance as every other petty dime-a-dozen Dobson drama you've heard a million times before, but that specific one was new to me.

Dobson had a lot of blow ups on social media over the years. So many it is hard to even keep track. Everyday he was having a fight with somebody. There was even a lot of them that didn't get archived or reported on in places like this thread. Usually because they were quick blowups or just nobody took a screenshot.

I remember one incident that I don't think was ever reported on in this thread was this one time where an obvious troll was trying to bait him on his Facebook page. It as one of the few times I went on his Facebook page and I just happened to witness this fight as it happened. I can't remember exactly what Dobson posted, but it was some political thing about kindness or about having common decency.

The troll commented about how he agreed with Dobson and that he personally thought that one of the worst things that somebody could do was make fun of somebody when they were grieving over the death of a loved one. It was obvious he was referencing the Zelda Williams thing. Despite his comment not blatantly attacking him, Dobson knew the guy was taking a shot at him and proceeded to spergout at the guy.

The commenter of course maintained his cool and kept on asking Dobson why he was getting mad at what he said. Dobson with each response just continued melting down on the guy. It lasted only like a few responses before Dobson most likely blocked the guy and that original comment got deleted off of Dobson's post.

I'd completely forgotten about that one until you mentioned it. I remembered him doxxing a teenage lesbian but I forgot about this one because there's so much other shit he's done that's awful.

Did they bring up the con at his old college that he went to and left because he overheard someone saying he was creepy, and Dobson tweeted that he wasn't, it was just online trolls fucking with him in real life?

Not that I can remember. I'd recommend watching the video for yourself, I thought it was pretty good.

Wanted to swing by and mention this. I came across this in the wild and it reminded me of Dobson. Really seems like something he'd make except if I'm to be honest, I think Dobson's style is a lot better, by about a mile.

I don't know if he ever elaborated on it, but it could have mainly been because he came from an era where people very rarely put their real name on the internet. It wasn't really until the rise of social media where people started heavily plastering their names everyone on the internet. He probably at first just wanted a pen name that wasn't associated with his real identity.

Funny story: one of the first ever lolcows on YouTube was an atheist YouTuber named Brett Keane. I remember when I first discovered his original YouTube channel twenty years ago that I was shocked by the fact that he used his real name as his username. People almost never really put their real names out online.

And it is still stupid even if you don't care about doxxing.

Big Pepe Fuckfart is a more memorable name than JohnSmith-4u27eut8wo

While there is no conclusive evidence that CapSyst is Dobson, we can conclude from that channel that the person behind it is into oldschool nintendo stuff, amazing digital circus, and from his hand appearance, he is likely a white, fat male between 30 and mid-forties. Also, there are lesbians here and there as well. At the very least, those are clues of some sort that are pointing towards Dobby.

Also, provided it's even him, the guy is no longer doing lolcow worthy content, so not much to milk from him as well. But of course, that can always change, though I'm not sure if the Inactive label for this thread is the right one.

Exactly. I'm gonna believe it is, but officially they're not the same. To CapSyst's credit, he has yet to crash out in ways Dobson always did.

I'm kinda bummed out that I wasn't more proactive about this in the past, but I did manage to find the backups I did of Dobson's twitter account from 2014.

I have it all the way down to this very first tweet in 2012. At least I'm pretty sure it's a complete archive from Dec 2014 to then.

Wait, wait, he actually thought that in Shadow of Mordor you played as one of the orcs instead of killing them? Fucking hell, the dude really did have no idea what he was talking about. I forget if there was a rumor going around that you'd play as essentially Xena but there was no DLC like that released, you still played as Talion and the wraith.

Considering that he bragged about getting a patch for Skyrim where there was no combat, I'm surprised he was even interested in it at all.

Now I wish Dobson and Chris had met in real life. And it's so nostalgic to see the way Dobson used to dismiss any criticism, regardless of whether or not it had merit. I wonder what Null actually said to him. And what the piece was. If this was 2014, then it would probably have been the brown era where his screen had some issue that fucked up the colors, so all his stuff looked more brown than he intended.

Not exactly. You could play as a woman named Lithariel and girlboss your way across Mordor, albeit without the fancy orc-controlling powers. Dobbles was never good at video games, and if it wasn't for this DLC he wouldn't care about Assassins-Creed-But-With-Orcs.
