Bumping because Toy Story 5 it's coming out for Juneteenth! Like that holiday can't get any more pointless because I don't get that day off anymore. It can't get any worse than that Buzz Lightyear movie?

Saw it today. Enjoyable flick, definitely better than the usual shit out there, but also clearly the worst of the 5 movies. Woody is essentially a cameo character in this one. It seems they wanted to move on from him but knew it’d be a terrible idea to not have him in it so there’s this awkward in-between feeling. The “tech is evil” plot started out very unsubtle with its intentions but did resolve in a more well-rounded competent matter. Also all of the side characters that have been introduced over the years have been sidelined, which makes sense. There’s too damn many of them now.

My guess is Toy Story 6 is definitely happening and that movie will serve as a goodbye to Buzz and Woody for good to make way for the future of the franchise which will be new toys voiced by newer and much younger voice actors
