Didn't accomplish its stated goals which is part of why we are where we are.
I am not convinced that this time will be different. For all I know in 6 months the US is back to bombing Iran.
The other part is that Iran orchestrated and facilitated a terror attack on America's ally on October 7th as to try and draw our attention off of Russia.
On October 7th 2023, for which the US provided assistance to Israel already, and also bombed Iran during Midnight Hammer (which "destroyed Iran's nuclear program")
That you are too weak to recognize an enemy when you see one is your own character failing.
OK, when are we bombing China?

How have so many of you forgotten about that daring rescue mission for the hero pilot/navigator who was shot down and evaded capture for days? Over a hundred troops assaulted something and took serious casualties. Odd that we still don't know anything about that hero pilot and how that whole thing was completely forgotten. Almost like that hero pilot was just made up to cover up something else.

The lies we have been told about everything since this began have been off the charts.
God you argue like such a fucking Redditor. "Uh actually, if you play with the meaning of words enough, a behind enemy lines rescue operations is the same thing as a 20 year occupation, see how smarter I am than you?"

You also don't know that it won't.

And now we've bombed our enemies a second time and blew up all their cool shit. Good shit. Hope it happens again.

Not soon enough.

No, but I feel like if your idea was "well Obama's deal sucked because Iran didn't stick to it", you really didn't get any new guarantees that you won't find yourself in the same situation. You're just restarting the Obama deal as far as nuclear goes.
And now we've bombed our enemies a second time and blew up all their cool shit. Good shit. Hope it happens again.
When your taxes go up and your benefits go down, will you blame this war for pissing billions of dollars down the drain? Or will you just blame the government (probably democrat realistically) that raises taxes?
Not soon enough.
Have you signed up for service?

You're just restarting the Obama deal as far as nuclear goes.
With new safeguards and assurances. This isn't even to say that the deal is going to work out but that Trump's deal has one thing Obama's deal didn't have; A largescale bombing campaign as an opener. We'll see.

When your taxes go up and your benefits go down,
Unrelated to the war. Immigration has more to do with my taxes going up and my benefits down.

Wouldn't you like to know, mangoboy?

Rich Canadians have ALWAYS gotten healthcare in the US. Their system has never been good, even before the incompetent foreign doctors and MAID. Same thing is true about every other socialized healthcare system; the elite don't use them cause they sucks and the lower classes don't know any better but boast about it because they've been brainwashed since birth about it. The propaganda is insane because the government does not want the people finding out how much they've been ripped off. The UK even dedicated their Olympic opening ceremony to the NHS rather than any of the countless actual impressive things in their history; the brainwashing runs so deep that the average Brit legitimately thinks that the NHS is one of the UK's best achievements.
The funniest bullshit in Canadian politics is when any politician on the left argues against health care reform in Canada by bringing out the accusation that those pushing for reform are trying to bring in a two-tier system, while all the politicians are already going to private clinics and paying out of pocket. Two-tier healthcare is already here, and they are already using it!

I'm sort of a revisionist about the Obama-era Iran deal. It looked humiliating for the US at the time, but we gave a bunch of money to Iran so they'd fuck off and behave. Iran promptly bragged about it, declared themselves victor, went right back to developing nuclear weapons (thus establishing to the whole world that they cannot be trusted), and pocketed all the money which they promised they'd spend on improving the lives of their citizens (who started protesting a lot more). In the long run, Obama's deal destabilized Iran without firing a shot.

Actually mathematically speaking immigration has to do with your taxes going down but also your standard of living going down. Now your standard of living stays down while your taxes go up.

I think it's only reasonable that anyone that wishes for war takes the front lines themselves.

Sure but I'm adding my own twist...

Nah Sisko is the Clarence Thomas of Starfleet captains and a trve cajvn, he would never- the first Trump Class warship was literally set to be named the USS Defiant.
Lol fair enough. I never watched DS9 (I know, I know). I grew up on TNG... need to watch stuff past that. Forgive my error.
I do recommend it, but if you're a TNG fan expect Sisko to not mesh well with Picard due to his wife getting killed due to the Borg. If you'd enjoy seeing Q get his shit rocked you're in for a good time though.

I love Picard but he was a bit of a weenie at times (though he was great when he defended humanity's honor against Q in Drumhead). Q is great too but I wouldn't mind his smarmy ass getting smacked around a bit. Plus an unhinged captain sounds fun.

Apropos of nothing except all the Star Trek talk... if y'all are fans and you've never read Confessions of Holodeck cleaner it's a must read, if fairly gross: https://www.somethingawful.com/news/blue-stripe-life-4/

Ngl, man, this is a reach at best. Giving them money did nothing but fund their nuclear program. Saying that their people were upset is pure cope, since when their government gunned them down, it killed their will enough to not do anything when an opening appeared during this conflict.
They're not nips where if you bomb them hard enough, they'll kowtow 1000 times in your apparent superiority. It's either all or nothing with them. Genocide or bust. Their facilities may be destroyed, but the research still exists. They'll try again and again, in shorter intervals since they can build off of previous research.
