Neo Retro Shooters - The intricacies of the renaissance of the "genre" known for gibs, quips and labyrinths.

Played it. They did their homework. Very very excited for full release. Demo is rough around the edges in parts but so far extremely positive steps and feels way more polished than I was expecting. Even got to use The Code in one of the parts.
All I want to do is stack boxes on a space station.
I've seen a handful of people on other sites piss and shit over the ailment thing. It probably needs tweaking but when the alternative is no new immy simmys, I'll take what I can get. Monomyth was almost unplayable when its demo first came out but now it's a pretty serious contender for best Ultima Underworld successor. These games take time.

Yes, we just need it to fucking release in a normal amount of time. This thing has been in development for ages. Feel like I'll be retired (lol never) by the time this and Gloomwood actually come out properly. I'll take all the Im Sims I can get.

How long has Retrospace been in development? I only picked up on it sometime last year.

Didn't know where else to put this, and it's related to everyone's favorite troonslop FPS.

Double post but I've been playing Blood West properly after briefly touching it 4 years ago when it was first released and I'm quite enjoying it. Best way to describe it would be a mix between STALKER and System Shock 2. It's not perfect but I'm having more fun with it than I've had with other games in a long time and they got Stephen Russell doing the voice work of the protagonist which is A+ for me.

The floating ghost heads can fuck right off though.

A couple of things to note about blood west since information on the game is rather scarce:
-The storage chest is infinite. I spent most of the first two acts on my first playthrough carefully arranging weapons on the ground before realizing the scroll bar only appears once you transfer an item over that actually fills up the grid.
-The guy in the act 1 safe zone gives a quest to fetch the shot coin artifact. Unless you don't think you'll ever use it, it's worth hanging onto and will print more gold than the reward for handing it over.
-Don't use the black raven skulls unless you wish to die a particularly painful death. Or do if you know what they're about.
-The talking skull in the basement of the saloon gives a two part quest that nets two very good items that compliment each other when murking vendigos, like it actually trivializes them. You have to be drunk to talk to it.
-If you're using bows, the medicine man in act 1 sells a bow that'll be useful until act 3. It's a good idea to purchase unique loot regardless.
-Trading a gold coin to the totem for the blessing of the cat is better than equipping a coin to avoid getting cursed upon death.
I didn't find the dead man's promise dlc to be that good. It's dense but tedious and I missed having access to many of the tools I had in the base game.
