What’s this I’ve been seeing mentioned here and there about Jayde secretly being a manipulating grifter and mingling with detractors? Is the theo-theory here that he is not, in fact, a wheelchair bound epileptic mongoloid who can barely talk, barely type, and barely knows who or where he is most of the time? Because if that’s the idea I certainly hope there’s been a higher burden of proof than just seeing someone named Jayde Rasmussen in a detractor chat claiming to be him. There is, meanwhile, ample evidence that he is a factual barely-sentient retard who wouldn’t know how to manipulate anyone if his life was on the line, and who is just mirroring Phil’s behaviors when he’s in stream chat trying to get handouts from other dents.

I’m open to the idea that’s all been some elaborate LARP, but it sure does sound like a stretch to me.

CwC had had actual interests. He was creative. Early sonichu is legitimately hilarious, Phil could never imagine himself fighting mecha-detractors or banishing LTG to a dark mirror hole.

For me, one of the saddest moments of the KC leaks was Phil describing the halloween "guntbusters" idea. And I use the word idea as loosely as possible. Phil basically just described it as him dressing up as a ghostbuster, then coming in and being cool and making a bunch of jokes while KC acted amazed. That's not even an abridged version, he couldn't even pitch a single joke, it was just him wanting to play dress up and get cheered on for it. Younger Phil wasn't exactly a beacon of creativity, but he could at least scribble on paper to call AVGN and Nostalgia critic gay retards.

happen since it was a limited print card I think there's only 5 in existence total.

It was more pathetic than that. Remember this was during the time when they were still clowning on Irate Gamer + other paranormal investigation niggas as part of their rotation. His idea was KC would be doing a sketch where they'd go to a haunted location, spooky stuff will be happening while on location, they'll shit their pants and "consult" Phil (who is at home, of course) and Phil would be the unimpressed smart guy who'd offer the logical explanation for the "spooky stuff". This is legitimately what an original "comedy" idea looks like from the mind of DarkSydePhil.

This current pokemon uptick is literally just tulip mania (or beanie babies, your choice) and the value of the cards is illusory.

MtG is a different beast and cards have value with reference to the game, like someone said. There will come a day not far from now where the market for pokemon cards will just evaporate.

It might not last forever, but people were saying this exact same thing 6 years ago when Logan Paul was buying Charizard cards for 6 digits and opening packs all the time. If there's an IP where the nostalgia grows over time whether it was deserved or not, it's Pokemon.

As far as i know its a misunderstanding. Jayde paid for an ultra membership one time expecting a pack and Phil told him no, that's pretty much the extent of it. I have no idea how people came to the conclusion that that means Jayde is pissed at Phil, he probably lacks the EQ to even get mad much less hold a grudge against someone, and that has nothing to do with the fact he is a wheelchair bound retard but more so because he's a DSP fan. Also I believe his online presence is monitored by some kind of guardian so the chance of him having a detractor discord is low.
