I think that Laur and Diamond Earl got away with a lifetime of small-time scamming in the pre-Internet (or pre-social media) era. If they were claiming to have provided props for Men In Black 2 or whatever, no one was going to immediately think that was a lie; it sounds reasonable enough, there's no easy way to check, and no KF/lolcow cataloguing their history of fraud. It seems that Diamond Earl was also telling tall tales about working with famous bands, or maybe these were Laur's inventions once he was debilitated. But it's almost impossible to find out who was a session drummer at some event in 1980. So Laur is doing the bluffing and blustering she's always done, except it not only doesn't work nowadays, it backfires spectacularly.

IMO Laur's core motivation is to be recognized as being part of the entertainment industry. Money and even housing are, evidently, secondary concerns. She can't ebeg because it would require leaning into their vulnerability and desperation. Successful ebeggers are shameless, but Laur is deeply ashamed of her current situation. That's why she ties it to a grand Chinese conspiracy which imagines Lillee Jean™ as a huge celebrity with hordes of jealous haters

Me, too. I went back to check, and the last new photos and videos Lily appeared in are indeed all at least one year old.

We know she's not dead or incapacitated - if she had been found that way in Vincent's house during the lock change or eviction, there would have been police radio about it.

She might have pulled a Venus / Gypsy Rose and ran off with a guy, leaving Laur to pilot her old accounts around. This would account for the total lack of new content for an entire year, and for no new pretend movies (Bullyish was "finished" in 2024, and So Lilo Qui is just as old.) She could just be depressed and refuse to play along with Laur's dreams.

But there is no new content, and I don't think we'll ever see any again.
