FRISCO, Texas — Karmelo Anthony, the teen accused of fatally stabbing another teen, Austin Metcalf, at a Frisco track meet, has been indicted on a murder charge, officials said.

A grand jury indicted Anthony on Tuesday, according to the Collin County District Attorney's Office. A murder charge is punishable by 5-99 years or life in prison.

Anthony, a 17-year-old former student of Frisco Centennial High School, was arrested and charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of Frisco Memorial High School student athlete Austin Metcalf in April at a track meet in Frisco ISD's Kuykendall Stadium. He was released from jail later that month after his bond was reduced from $1 million to $250,000.

Anthony has claimed self defense in the case, which garnered national attention, heightening racial tensions and raising security concerns among everyone connected to the case, including both families and Judge Angela Tucker, who is presiding over the case.

"We know this case has struck a deep nerve — here in Collin County and beyond," Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said in a statement Tuesday. "That’s understandable. When something like this happens at a school event, it shakes people to the core. But the justice system works best when it moves with steadiness and with principle. That’s what we’re committed to. And that’s exactly what this case deserves."

Anthony's attorney, Mike Howard, called Tuesday's indictment "an expected and routine step in the legal process."

"Karmelo and his family are confident in the justice system and the people of Collin County to be fair and impartial," Howard said. "Of course, Karmelo looks forward to his day in court. It's only in a trial that a jury will hear the full story, one that includes critical facts and context that the grand jury simply didn't get to hear."

Howard again raised Anthony's self defense claim in his statement Tuesday.

"We expect that when the full story is heard, the prosecution will not be able to rule out the reasonable doubt that Karmelo Anthony may have acted in self defense," Howard said. "Self defense is a fundamental right guaranteed every American."

Metcalf's father, Jeff Metcalf, told WFAA in a statement that he's "pleased that we are moving forward."

“With the first degree murder indictment, it now goes into the court system," Jeff Metcalf said. "I fully believe that justice will be served for Austin Metcalf. I look forward to the forthcoming trial. But it will never bring my son back.“

Under his bond conditions, Anthony is required to wear an ankle monitor and ask permission to leave his home. If Anthony violates any conditions of his bond, he will have to return to jail. He graduated and received his high school diploma in May, but did not attend the ceremony, WFAA previously reported.

Anthony allegedly confessed to the stabbing immediately after he was arrested, claiming he was defending himself from Metcalf, officials said, as WFAA previously reported.

A witness reportedly told police that Metcalf told Anthony he had to move out from under the Memorial High School tent. Anthony responded by opening his bag and reaching inside, WFAA previously reported.

"Touch me and see what happens," Anthony told Metcalf, according to a witness.

Metcalf reportedly then touched Anthony, the witness told a responding officer, and Anthony told Metcalf to punch him and see what would happen. Soon afterward, the witness said, Metcalf reportedly grabbed Anthony to tell him to move. At which point, the affidavit continues, Anthony reportedly pulled out what the witness recalled as a black knife and stabbed Metcalf once in the chest before running away.

The deep tension sparked by the incident has raised concerns that the case may be tried outside of Collin County. Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis told WFAA that the judge will make that decision at the time of trial.

Is Colorado as much of a mess as the internet seems to suggest it is?
Frankly, if ownership isn’t punished there’s always the route of getting an out of state friend to just mail the shit via USPS*. Staties ain’t intercepting post office packages.
Yeah, there's workarounds. Less of an issue in the small east coast states, where you can drive over the border easily enough. but it can get nasty elsewhere.

Remember the Parole Officer who went on Facebook & said Karmelo would be ok & be protected?

Texas Department of Criminal Justice have posted that they fired her! Sarah post this on X

I'm surprised that they actually fired her on what she did rather than weaseling out of it by citing social media rule violations.

What I wouldn't be surprised by is if this "person" has been a problem for a long, long time and finally can get fired without prompting some wrongful termination lawsuit.

The women are often pieces of shit, unfortunately. Look at how Chinese mothers were the ones who did the footbinding. Women — often in a positive way!! — see it as their role to “pass on” culture, in the way men think of surnames or occupations or something. It is a prevalent attitude across many civilizations.
Now that you've brought up the topic, I'll add that it's also usually the women who carry out FGM - in blunt terms: sawing off your own daughter's or granddaughter's clitoris and labia with a shard of broken glass.

My predictions - after the first few highly-publicized visits to their son, the parents will visit less and less often, and then not at all. While family and supporters will start off putting money on his commissary account, that won't last long. Sooner rather than later, this murderer will fade into obscurity in prison, unless he is attacked/killed in prison or released on parole. He will turn into a trivia question or a Wikipedia entry.
Likely he's going to be serving at Alfred Hughes in Gatesville, a max security prison (not death row) with a higher-than-average sexual assault rate (lol).

There's a nearby facility that lets families stay (overnight stays if they traveled a long distance but it would be a two and a half drive). Has to be stories of people who have been almost as horrible as the people they put away.

Is Colorado as much of a mess as the internet seems to suggest it is?

No. Basically all of the freaks live in Denver and its little suburb towns like Aurora. My property is nearly 15 miles up the mountain from a cozy little mountain town and it’s about as great as anyone could expect. Used to be too many weed shops in town but supply and demand took care of that and they all failed saved for the best one.

Denver got ruined by being the backup plan for hipsters that couldn’t handle it in LA and Bushwick but they wouldn’t dream of moving to somewhere black bears and mountain lions actually exist.

Even the gay shit like magazine restrictions outside of Denver are barely enforced. If my town’s sheriff office is charging you with that it’s to tack on charges and your ass was already going away. They have to prove you didn’t own it prior to 2013 anyways.

Yeah, there's workarounds. Less of an issue in the small east coast states, where you can drive over the border easily enough

Definitely the benefit of living on the East Coast. My primary residence is Texas and it takes most of day just to drive out of here.

It was more violent than that. The Nanjing protests started in winter 1988 because a bunch of Africans were drinking heavily and on the way back to their dormitory started a brawl with the university rent-a-cops that escalated into all out anti-African riots.
Would it not be wonderful if Americans, Europeans, and the Anglosphere more generally culturally were to bond with the Chinese over our shared and very-logical dislike of niggers?

If they don't fire her, they are fucked as there will be the spectre of this nigger scum living the high life and continuing to be a terror harming white people in jail with the explicit protection of the staff.

Hell, it's probably in the prison's best interest to arrange the nigger scum's rape and mutilation if not murder within days of his arrival as far as letting the inmates know that they want the nigger scum gang raped Titus Andronicus style with his eyes, tongue, and hands cut off so that the nigger scum will spend the rest of his nightmare fuel hell of a life regretting murdering Austin.

To add to that, they continue to bring race into it when it had nothing to do with it.

As long as it helps them feel like Karmelo was wronged. Metcaf’s dad was at least based enough to accept how broken their culture is.

Ask yourself this:
  • Suppose A and B are two people who play sports on opposing teams.
  • Suppose B enters A’s team space.
  • Suppose A tells B to leave
  • Suppose B refuses and starts a verbal altercation.
  • Suppose A tries to de-escalate but B continues to escalate, pulls out a knife and stabs A.
Would this be considered justifiable self defense?

The answer is FUCK NO. It doesn’t matter who A and B are.

All one needs to do is take race out of it and analyze the same situation and you can see race never had anything to do with it.

Not to mention that Karmelo’s side is actually MORE racist because they imply that an “all white jury” (it was not) cannot possibly approach the situation objectively and that Metcaf must have had racist intent BECAUSE he was white.

Meanwhile if we believe the father, Karmelo’s parents showed up for the victimhood and not for their own son’s sentencing. Pathetic but not shocking.

Is Colorado as much of a mess as the internet seems to suggest it is?
Yeah, in every conceivable way. The gun situation is the way that it is because this faggot--

--shot up a movie theater in Aurora during a midnight showing of "The Dark Knight." One of the victims was the son of this faggot--
sullivan.jpg
--who decided the solution was to make it as hard as possible for everyone in the state to own a firearm.

Besides all that, Colorado has all the problems one might expect of a society run by women, browns, and faggots, combined with a toxic mix of a drug addict culture and altitude sickness, so you can imagine how dysfunctional the state's become in the last 15 years.

These are the same retards who claimed a few years ago that getting rid of the Gallagher Amendment wouldn't increase anyone's property taxes; that doing so was necessary to close budget gaps because the Taxpayer's Bill of Rights means they can't pass spending bills on gibs without asking the state's residents; were shocked that property taxes went up and had to try and pass some shitty-ass accounting bills to provide relief; and still ended up with a budget deficit of $1.5 billion. The Denver suburbs are now fully pozzed by Mexicans, native urban Millennials, and out-of-state transplants that moved there in the 2010s, so now they don't balance out the baboons in Boulder, Denver proper, the ski towns, and Pueblo anymore.

Yeah, and despite all that I’m within arms reach of a Geissele 10.3” SBR with a suppressor and an MP5K. There’s thirty plus PMAGs in the next room over.

Despite the magazine bans (the easiest thing on Earth to bypass) and the three day waiting period the state is crawling with guns. Any moron can go into a Big R and pickup an AR15.

Every major American city including Texas.

Yeah, for now. Meanwhile:

Beginning in August 2026, it will be illegal in Colorado to buy semiautomatic rifles, shotguns and gas-operated semiautomatic handguns that accept detachable magazines without certain safety training. If a person doesn’t get that training, they could buy those types of firearms with a permanently-fixed magazine that adheres to the state’s 15-round limit.
Just because you can go up to Cheyenne for this shit is hardly the point.

Yeah, it blows. But if you have an LTC you’re going to be authorized and they’re not snagging what I’ve already got. I’ll bet good money this shit gets struck down anyways.

My loved ones are safer in rural Colorado than some “based” state like Georgia that’s full of niggers.

It’s really interesting how fast TDCJ brought Karmelo in. Never seen that happen before. Usually, a convicted felon waits weeks in County Jail to “catch chain” to TDCJ and once they get picked up they’re out of contact for at least a couple weeks as they’re transported to an intake facility, then after weeks or months there they’re out of pocket another few weeks as they’re transported to a transfer unit where they stay weeks or months before again being transferred to their new home for a while and then after months or years they start the transfer process all over again. Anyway, while the transfer process is going on you’re pretty much out of pocket and when you’re first picked up from County it’s a few weeks before you show up on TDCJ’s
Inmate Locator yet in Karmelo’s case he’s already entered into TDCJ’s system, shows up as currently incarcerated in Pack 1. Pack 1 isn’t an intake unit, and he showed up there a couple days ago, so it’s just really strange how he got convicted on a Tuesday, picked up on a Wednesday, and by Thursday he shows up on the Inmate locator at Pack 1.

I get that Collin County wanted him out of their hands ASAP after the sentencing but it lools like TDCJ bent over backwards to get Karmelo processed in and to his new home. With that kind of treatment I have to wonder if he isn’t already in PC because it sure looks like he’s getting extra attention from TDCJ Brass

The entire self-defense claim in this case?

All other things equal?

Fell apart at the "reasonable" standard - self defense is only allowed when you "reasonably' fear for your life or limb.

It was not reasonable by any common man's definition to assume a student who pushed you at a school-sponsored public athletic event where dozens of teachers, coaches and security were present was about to follow that up by killing/maiming you.

It was assuredly both cover-your-ass by the intake side who knew they were getting a celebrity inmate and a "get this public-riot-bait out of my jail ASAP" by the local authorities.

I think in high profile cases they ship the perps fast. That one guy in Idaho who killed those women got shipped to prison day of sentencing.

You work for TDCJ like I did or did you serve time?
Neither. I’m from Maine where they have some decency. Hell, in Piscataquis County Jail they’d let me out into the hallway whenever I wanted so I could talk on the phone for free with my gurlfrens or a couple of times with Chris Hansen.
