Yeah, the first episode that introduces him? Really good, really creepy performance by the actor. But then he becomes like a CSI serial killer arc villain and that just felt really weird for SVU. It felt so out of place and he basically turns into a supervillain.

Really the key point is trying to figure out where L&O in general jumped the shark. They've always done ripped from the headlines stories. One of the most infamous moments was firing the one blonde lady and she's like "Is this because I'm a lesbian?" and they're like "No lol bye."

I sat through teo different ADAs. There was Cabot first, then Casey Novak came in and she was watchable, and then she fucked off, there was nothing keeping it alive for me.



I didn’t stick around for the OG Law & Order after Jerry Orbach died.



Criminal Intent lost me as after Jamie Sheridan was gone. The quality just dropped like a fucking piano.

Finding out the network demands for Spider Man The Animated Series was both baffling and fascinating. Its like if Faye Dunaway was a corporate HQ, the number of demands they had. No guns, no blood, can't say die, no skimpy clothing, etc. There was a whole ass female villain they had to skip (I wanna say it was a vampire?)

Even with all the retarded shit, it was still fucking great. Yeah it had it's fair amount of cringe, but it speaks to the quality of writers of that time that it lasted as long as it did.

The absolute worst episode of SVU is the one when they rape "Ann Coulter" and the squad is like "mmm, but the suspects are all freedom fighters". You could tell some of them were thinking something closer to "she deserved it". They've been episodes when Olivia is very hypocritical, like when she's all "believe women!" and then a friend of hers was accused of rape and she just couldn't believe it, but this one was special.

I've been watching (often against my will) reruns of SVU for some time and I can't fucking stand Benson anymore. She's the Queen Regent of Mary Sue's. I could probably write a whole thread on this bitch. Maybe for next year's April's Fools...

SVU had an Epstein episode (they've had like three, I think) when one of the victims was the daughter of some friend of Amanda's. It was a two parter and they developed most of the Epstein drama during the first one. The second one was the friend kidnapping Amanda. They wrapped the Epstein story by making the guy kill himself at the end and casually mentioning the group discussing if he really died or if he was killed.

Which is moot because at the very start of the first part they clearly show that yes, "Epstein" DID in fact, kill himself! Then, they frame the rest of the episode as a "this is how we got here"... only to forget the framing device entirely and show it again at the end of the second part.

Between his cartoonish "supervillain rapist mass murderer" gimmick, the obviously in love with him lawyer that defends him anyway, the retard judges that TAKE HIS SIDE despite increasingly undeniable evidence he's a murderous rapist nutjob, my favorite part is how, during the multiple episodes Master Chief is on SVU Olivia simply REFUSES to pop a cap in his ass.

The asshole spends FOUR DAYS torturing, beating, raping and killing, dragging along Olivia who he also molested tortured and kidnapped from her own home, and yet no one thinks "yeah, prison is too good this faggot" and do the needful.

When Stabler left and we got Amanda and Amaro, the show somehow managed to survive well. New faces really helped the show a lot, imo. I missed Elliot, but somehow, the other two managed to compensate. Then Barba arrived and I think the new team freshened well the show. They really brought good new characters and managed to explore new stories under new perspectives. They got one character, forgot his name, who was a respectable officer who was even in middle east, but he was so naive to what they did in the unit, showing that working in sex crimes is indeed a hard job most people aren't fit to do no matter the qualifications.

The problems imo were 1. removing Stabler didn't help to balance the show with the many other good characters but made it instead Olivia show. 2. this happened around the time of Peak Woke™, when feminism was also unhinged everywhere, and of course this was going to affect a show that's about rape.

Gonna be fair, an episode from current season had a male influencer, a dancer I think, being sexually assaulted by a woman, the influencer being a minor. They show how crazy and disrespectful older women can be even when the target is minor. Even the mom was shown that she was too casual about exposing her son to this type of audience, despite she tried to protect them from any sexual advance. One of the officers tried to help him to open up and speak by telling him he was also raped by an older women when he was young, which felt better characterized than when Olivia's boyfriend also had an episode dedicated to being assaulted as a kid because the episode was around how this affected Olivia. They don't make much episodes about male victims and female aggressors, but this one was good.

House. Well, the ending was pretty bad, but at least it was over. In the same season there was a usual "supernatural" episode but this time instead of proving there was nothing special and curing the ill, they save them, but their family goes all "OOH IT WAS OUR MAMBO JAMBO THAT SAVED THEM". I think, this is where I realized that writers had given up.

Dexter. People say that the end of the original run was bad, but I'd argue that it was actually the finale of the penultimate season. Deb acted completely out of character, it sucked ass and no wonder that trying to build up on that lead to even shittier season and conclusion. Fuck, they were so desperate that they brought back that psycho chick Dexter was in love with in the most retarded way possible, she just happened to be there while fucking some rich guy on his yacht and she had no problem moving through Miami despite being a wanted criminal.

Better Call Saul. I think people give too much shit to the finale, because they mistake Jimmy fooling the court to save the last person who cared for him for a genuine remorse. He looks happy in jail because ironically he can be free there, he can be Saul Goodman and be respected by others. Lalo is bizarrely underpowered in BCS. He's a Salamanca who's pretty smart generally, but right after the assassination attempt, he calls Hector post-stroke instead of the Twins. Also, I forget why Lalo can't marshal guys to take out Fring, but he can go to Germany to interrogate one of the guys that worked in the secret compound. Does that family secretly dislike Lalo? Because between him and Tuco, Lalo is a more stable leader, but he doesn't seem to have people to reinforce him.

I gave up on House when the writers decided to just drop any character growth House had been through, having him break up with Cuddy, and then drive a truck through her House.

House is one of those shows that would be so much better if it had just ended a season or two earlier when the writers ran out of things for the character to do, instead they tried to reset everything to season one meaning everything he had been through to get him to season six was pointless.
