When South Park first came out, I was a child, and very strongly was not allowed to watch it. It wasn't until I was in high school that it was even considered. And even then, my mom's condition for allowing me to watch it, was that I had to look her in the eye and say "penis" with a straight face (to prove I was mature enough or something?).
When Family Guy came out, I was a youth, and it was on right next to the Simpsons and I was allowed to watch both.
I enjoy TADC as a show, along with Murder Drones (another glitch prod.) what i do not enjoy is the crash outs of the brain behind TADC. The fandom is already kinda scuffed, and Gooseworx being a spastic doesnt help
