I thought she is using a baby pacifier in the video's thumbnail :story: Well, it is not and it just a petal passing by, but I am expecting any degeneracy from modern indie devs.

The game does not look that bad, but it has no substance behind it. Same RE anime clone with same lame "horror" elements and completely boring anime gurl with boring face and same sounding voice actress (if not an AI, I can't tell honestly) with same intonations like most of the games in this thread.

Any opinions? It looks like troonslop and reminds me of Tamashika due to the visuals alone, but it was made all the way back in 2018, so during the "vaporwave" era so to speak.

Like this stuff was trending on youtube, saw that there was even a racing game using the vaporwave aesthetics on a few commentary channels of the time.

While walking sims may be the kind of low-effort slop content that you’d probably expect greasy unemployed troons to saturate the entire genre, this entire thread is proof that troons by and large prefer to develop and play granular, faster-paced games with high skill ceilings (or at least a “high skill ceiling” within the context of speedrunning).

Yes, Broken Reality has the trappings of a trooncore game (low poly, vaporwave color scheme, bitcrushed textures etc) but trannies don’t have a monopoly on those aesthetics — if anything, they appropriate those aesthetics because they’re lazy and only consume media within their comfort zones. Broken Reality seems way too slow-paced for the average HRT dopamine-junkie.


Since I’m a slow progressor, I haven’t watched the final quarter of this video in the interests of avoiding spoilers, but this review by Dungeon Chill was what compelled me to buy it. If the dev team, Dynamic Media Triad are troons, they’re professional enough to not advertise it. It would certainly be among the least egregiously offending titles to grace the genre.

The gameplay looks like it lifts from, ahem, 4 resident evil a lot, but graphically, it's borderline PS4/5 indie shovelware. So... no, not quite.

I'm glad it's not troon-made, but man, it just... lifts the elements of both Rezzie and Silent Hill without wrapping the right kinda meat (not of the erectile kind) around it - while calling it "classic survival horror".

The real horror is that we're surviving through times where this is normal :suffering:

No, it's an intentional misspelling to emphasize how dumb it is (which is why it's capitalized like a proper noun). I do suppose substituting "are" for "our" has mostly fallen out of favor, but I'll keep using it along with other classics like "9/11 NEVAR FORGET".

The game got DMCA'd by a crypto scammer.

I've been following the story. Jozef Gherman (the crypto scammer) probably only rugpulled them over SSR Wives because he had no respect for the aesthetic. "Hey buddy, are you a right wing game dev excluded from famous e-celeb cliques for obvious reasons? I'm also right-wing, so I promise to give you investor money so you can finish this japanese-tasteful game".

There's a conspiracy theory (that's pretty unlikely but worth considering) that Gherman's description of events are actually semi-correct: that they reneged on a signed contract and screwed Josef (which doesn't matter to him in the long run because he's rich). The theory is that Hed Protag and Co. used the resulting drama as a means to generate attention using him as the fall guy, because there's no way anyone would have sympathy for a criminal. Gherman is constantly tweeting about "betrayal" and is constantly acting erratic about the situation. It's as if he was hurt in some way.

Looking at the walls: There's a tiny bit of pixelation, yet it looks like the RE1 GC remake. It's hesitant to fully commit, but the nostalgia window has almost hit the PS2 era.
