he doesn't like admitting to big purchases unless he can really justify it. all the streaming bullshit toys he bought post KC he could justify saying he was reinvesting into the business. i dont think he'd want to try and find a way to say he bought the Greninja just because(more than likely because he thought it'd be a good investment) and is giving us this weirdo story about him unpacking it on his day off. this is something Phil has ingrained into his paranoia personality since way back during the panda lee years where he got pissed off people were asking him about a fancy coffee machine he had in the background of one of his vlahgs lol. he also spins odd tales about his purchases in a certain way because he tries to live in this in between universe where he's actually super sussesful but also no i can't take Kat on vacation dood we don't have the money for that(and also Jasper needs us and it's super violent and dangerous outside and etc etc). the business is booming but it requires all of my time and i have no time for anything else and also all of my money is going back into the business!

Of course he's lying. DSP lies about literally anything even when there's no good reason to lie. That's what makes it so tricky to figure out what's the actual truth. He sprinkles lies in randomly, like the dead skin from his fingers on the paper plates. Even when he's telling the truth (someone who brought up the escort saga already) he sounds like he's lying, because it's all the same bullshit to him. Many of his lies are born from him actually convincing himself that they are truth, aka narc delusions.

People who think DSP is playing some grandiose 4D chess are usually wrong (I remember quite fondly, before the bankruptcy, when begging was at an all time high, a lot of detractors were foaming at the mouth that he's secretly rich and squirreling money away from the IRS - no, turns out he was just broke. He was lying about all of his big bills, just not in the way many conspiracy theorists like to think). He's a borderline retard, his lies are stupid and blatant ("Nu-uh, I'm not going bankrupt", "Nu-uh, I'm happy and sussesful", "I'm not playing WWE champions, ackackack what a retard", "I was snakening them from the start, teehuuu oink").

The week when my dishwasher was broken was unbearable, I felt like a fucking monkey in the jungle living in squalor. How he has multiple broken appliances is beyond me, I'd unironically kill myself if that was my existence. It's literally less effort getting them fixed and being able to use them than it is leaving them broken like a caveman and having to find alternatives
