When shit gets bad enough even MES is forced to address the reality that Iran is running out of missiles.

From wonkulation I saw:
1) These were the top-of-the-line anti-jew missiles when the missile warehouses were being built, meaning they were most likely put in the most well protected and reinforced areas. So its very likely what was launched was pulled from one of the reopened facilities.
So these might be salvaged missiles and might have been selected in part because of low confidence in their targeting systems working all the way to israel - but kuwait might work.
2) Going off of 1, these are no longer their highest range missiles. Iran might be clearing bunker space for those 4000+km missiles they pinkie-promised Obama and the Europoors they totally didn't have.
3) A desire to launch from deep in Iran and possibly to burn up less valuable missiles. Launching deep inside iran reduces the chance of getting sack-tapped; eastern Iran has been hit very littler. Iran would know they be launching into alert and restocked missile defenses, so no need to use your top of the line. Might as well burn your second tier missiles.
4) Making sure the ceasefire remains intact. These missiles having vastly more range than is required, meaning they are bigger and easier to find. See above about fresh air defense. basically ensure they get shot down so you can look like you're doing something. See: strikes after Midnight Hammer.
5) That's what they have. Eastern Iran has less facilities and hasn't been hammered like central Iran. Those would have had longer range missiles, and likely get refreshed less often. This is not disputing IRan's inventory getting exhausted, but specifically they needing to reach into their long range stocks.

In any case, the massive lol as Iran once again chimps out at local arabs instead of killing the jews like they keep promising us they're going to.

Unlike drones, missiles require a lot of ongoing maintenance to keep them in working order. "Missile Cities" don't mean shit if you're not diligently maintaining the complex systems that ensure it can hit its target. During the war, after the first 3-4 days, their launches tailed off dramatically except for a couple of mass launches when they managed to dig out enough to consolidate. It's not that they aren't a threat, it's just that their capability tails off dramatically when they aren't able to keep them in proper working order, like we can with our munitions.

Drones require more maintenance than missiles, but its hidden because
1) Skill; Its mostly part replenishment and can be done any retarded sand ape can switch out parts. Small engine maintenance isn't much more than that. Missiles require very precise engineering and people who know what they're doing.
2) Visibility/failure consequences. If you fuck up maintaining your missiles, you will know very quickly at or after launch and its unlikely anything worth while will be recoverable. If you fucked up your drone and rotted the battery, or if the engine overheats an hour into flight, you won't notice. Likewise if the drone is too fucked to fly, it'll just not take off.
3) along with point 2, anything toxic or corrosive is sealed away so the drone body doesn't experience as many issues. That is, even if the sensitive components are worthless the body is still good.
4) Most drones simply don't have the shelf life to last long enough to get "warehouse rot". Either the brains/commsuite needs upgraded to the drone is being used. Along with point 3, it means even a storage failure drone can be reserviced quickly

Missiles *can* have longer lifespans, i.e. 10-20 years depending on storage conditions and fuel type. Even then we've seen both Ukraine and Russia dusting off >30 year old Tockha missiles to fire at each other.

That being said, these missiles have also been buried underground and suffered unknown damage from bombs.
There is a chance, though not a certainty, that some of the fusing, microchips, gyro components, rocket motor, etc. might have been damaged by the seismic shock, blast wave and high-speed dust stream from being bombed and buried.

A missile's lifespan is directly proportional to skill and time required to get it ready to fire.
