The Amazing Digital Circus - Western Isekai that probably will become Hazbin Hotel killer

I was paying attention to that, but it never came across as him getting "pissed" about it. He would take someone aside, ask whats up, then blow them off entirely not even listening to the conversation. This happened several times.

Each time it happened I was never left with the feeling it was actually getting to him in anyway because he barely seems to actually care himself, it just come across like an AI following a script for a questionaire. The "I Am God" stuff at that point doesn't even feel "rushed", it feels like its just thrown in at the last second to move the plot along. It wasn't organic, it feels more like a spastic hissy fit out of nowhere from a character that never seemed to truely give much of a shit to begin with.
It was probably hard to pay attention with all the wacky antics but the foreshadowing to his crashout started as early as episode 5. Arguably even earlier considering in 3, he makes a "mature" adventure for Zoonble (the most rebellious one) and it's really scary and miserable, almost like he did it as a "fuck you."

The thing you're talking about was sparked literally because zooble (triangle) skipped out on a DnD haunted mansion story made specifically for her
This happened several times.
The other times were sparked by other things happening that'd result in him talking to someone on the side. Gangle got pulled aside to talk about specifically the mcwagie shit that she requested for him to set up int he suggestion box. It's so fucking heavily implied He blatantly ignores the suggestion box before this because he prefers making his own shit to try and impress humans instead of going off human's promptings. The jax time it was because everyone was trying to get someone to distract caine with conversation and compliments (even f it turned out as part of his plan later) and steal the key since jax was shown earlier to just have a fuckload of keys and the candy kingdom episode showed he got them from pickpocketing others.

because he barely seems to actually care himself,
I mean he's dedicating pretty much all his thought processing ont rying to make cool adventures for humans he's got trapped (or at least had trapped before the episode 9 brain scan shit and him being able to connect to the internet the whole time) so...
Yeah why the fuck would he care?
it just come across like an AI following a script for a questionaire.
I don't remember questionare scripts going "look at this cool bee I drew"

and it's really scary and miserable, almost like he did it as a "fuck you."
You also forget the "right" option in that one was the not-miserable and scary one, meaning he still had hope and left an option there for a less dire experience.

yeah, and I also forgot that the slightest hint that the gang might not like his adventures causes him to almost crash out right on the spot.

So I think the idea is he wasn't clueless, but heavily in denial. Like, deep down he knows nobody wants to be there or is having any fun, but he's convinced he's just a few tweaks from fixing it, and every new failure slowly breaks that delusion.

Writing this, it occurs to me that Caine really is the "make or break" character of the series. If you like him and find him amusing, you'll probably enjoy yourself. But if you find him obnoxious or lolsorandom, sitting through the show will feel like slow torture. At least judging by PPP's screams of agony the entire time.

Part of me wonders if Jax wasn't supposed to be so central to the show but his massive popularity with fans got his role bumped up.

Idk, it seems pretty deliberate. But it wouldn't be the first time something like that happened and it ended up messing things up for the production. Idubbz's entire career was basically that but in real life.

I'm not going to see it in the theater but I was curious as to whether or not it was going to be playing at the theater I go to most often and sure enough it was. Surprising considering it's attached to a mall and not a standalone theater. All but the seating for disabled people and their companion are taken.

According to GW, the entire series has been set in stone before the pilot was even produced, which is still really bad, it means that he got way too hyperfixated on Jax halfway through writing the script and apparently never had second thoughts about a rewrite since the Jax humiliation ritual and suicide was both motivated by his sexual fetishes (implied) and a desire to "exorcise his demons" (he actually tweeted this one)

The final episode outside the jax stuff is so detached from everything that's been building up over the course of the series. I can believe the jax stuff was in there but the brain scan "nothing real nothing matter" shit definitely wasn't going off how important having actual humans and not just ai npcs was to caine throughout every episode tot he point when the ais he made started getting too advanced or smart he'd erase/reset them.

I do think the shitpost tweets about jax being taken out of context and strung together seriously is kind of gay when it's not just done as a "what did he mean by this" kind of funny though. Jax never really struck me as "vented sexual frustrations and urge to abuse women" character.

Just got some early reports that the ending is different in a big way.

Instead of abstracting right away, Jax gets sick. Naturally sick, like a human would. The exact disease he's infected with isn't stated but it seems to either be some kind of sepsis, TB, or aids. Hard to tell when its a "virtual" disease or anything.

Pomni begs him to let Kinger try to help him, desperately convinced he can find another terminal to program on. But Jax refuses, citing his desire to not miss their bus ride to Miami. Jax tries to put on a jovial front despite his illness, but the mask slips when he urinates all over himself. He cries and mourns the pathetic state he's in, but Pomni is able to lift his spirits by making a joke about him taking an "unscheduled stop" before dressing him up in fancy new clothes.

Pomni tries to tell Jax she intends on getting a regular job instead of debasing herself as a jester, only to realize Jax is no longer moving or breathing. Pomni rushes to tell Bubble (who is driving the bus) and he asks her to close Jax's eyes, telling her that they'll be Miami soon. Pomni tearfully returns to Jax's body and wraps her arm around him one last time as she melancholically gazes out at the beautiful Florida beachside, heading towards an uncertain future with trauma and baggage, but also a new lease on life.

if Gooseworx crashed out after some random guy on reddit was criticizing him for one specific aspect of his series, how would he react to what feels like the online consensus effectively turning on his series?

Also thank fuck it seems that the discourse seems to have been leaning negative on the ending so far (I might jinx it but idc anymore), I was fearing that people would just keep dickriding Glitch and Goose after it came out for real, because Murder Drones had a super rushed ending and hardly anybody seemed to have complained at the time.

This shit would unironically be a better ending, but not on the top tier of the "jax's immortal soul is forever trapped on the wreckage of the titanic" one.

Trannies are so porn sick they will literally self sabotage their own multi million dollar franchise so they can masturbate.
