Like I've been saying. It's going to happen one way or another. My only hope is it's bad enough to completely change some things. If it's only just bad enough to fuck over all the normal people in the country, but everything else in the country stays exactly the same that's about as bad as it can get IMO. Because at least in the former situation there is some hope for the future that follows. In the later, things will just continue getting worse, or at least get better before yet another crash. The only way I could see it being avoided is if we happened to get someone that is a true fiscal conservative into office. But those are pretty rare. Instead we get republicans that larp as fiscal conservatives while on campaign, but do the same thing they all do when they get into office.

There is no sustainable way for us to continue as we are currently that I can see. We have what amount to robber barons running the country, forming or taking advantage of the laws to enrich themselves, and a complete disregard for anyone else in the country and it's long term survival. It's all about extracting as much wealth as possible while they can. And Trump is the perfect President to represent the state of affairs. He started his term with a fucking scam coin that lost his most loyal followers money, Proceeds to start manipulating the market, with one or two insiders who happen to buy huge numbers of shares right before he announces something, and selling as soon as it hits a high point. I really hope we do get a democrat house majority in the upcoming election so they will hopefully force some kind of investigation into that. The fact that he's getting away with it is insane.
