I don't think Cenk has directly voiced support for Hamas or Hezbollah; However, it has been shown multiple times (especially in places like Piers Morgan) that he's distorted the overall complexity of the whole Israel/Palestine/Lebanon/Iran/etc. conflict as "Super-big-mega-evil-Hitler-Satan Israel is oppressing all the other surrounding nations and deserves anything and everything it gets. Meanwhile, anything that Hamas/Hezbollah/Houthis/etc. do is a 'necessary evil' to deal with Super-big-mega-evil-Hitler-Satan Israel and such actions are nuanced and complex and should be discussed with context."

if we go back to the formation of the current state of Israel, i would say one side is a lot more justified in their view. And it isn't the jews.

Not to mention everything else it ignores. I tend to like to take a dialectic view of things. Left vs right, republican vs democrat, etc. It usually gives you a more balanced view of how both sides might be right about something, and wrong about another. Or at least it gives you a more holistic view of the topic. In the case of Israel vs everyone else in the middle east, it's not even close. There might be power hungry Muslims involved in this situation, but that really isn't the core of the problem. It comes back to Israel, neocons, and other Zionist sympathizers (I mean the original neocons in this case which were Trotskyite jews, who were the first to take on the neocon name).

That said. it's funny to think miggers think being a neocon is cool now.

One of you said something that had me thinking about this,
The push (from the base more than the top) to revoke birthright citizenship of existing anchor babies is deranged and terrifying.

The problem with it is that, leaving fairness aside, leaving constitutional questions of if it's allowed or not aside, if you can revoke citizenship from somebody legally born with citizenship, then you have established a precedent that citizenship can be yanked for any reason from anybody.

A person can think birthright citizenship is a bad policy that should be ceased, but to yank it away, or do effectively the same by treating people who have always been treated as citizens as retroactive criminals (a sort of salutary neglect), means you have established that citizenship is no longer an inviolable compact between society and the individual. Everything's fair game. Have a dissident? Banish them. Have a religious group you dislike like, say, Southern Baptist? Yank their citizenship and disenfranchise them in one fell swoop.

And these fucking morons don't get it because they live in a world where - like socialists/progressives - only their own intentions matter. For the Alt-Right at least they don't pretend to be American-style conservatives, but for boomercons there's no excuse to be wrapped in the language of the Constitution while taking a view of human nature that's the opposite of Madison's thinking. Yes, if you do this thing, you are opening up a lane of attack against yourself.

It won't happen, of course, since Trump's immigration policy is wrestling kayfabe, but if it did I really see no other option than full armed insurrection to protect the anchor babies. I do not think you can morally justify the eviction of people that were born and raised in the country in accordance with our own laws. That is, itself, "sniper attacks on immigration officer" territory. The idea of it makes me feel like a War Democrat in 1864. Hate the side I'm maneuvered into but it overrides everything else.

I mean, yeah Israel sucks ass, but everyone already knows that.

Amnesty International in particular was was often antagonized by them for being "antimsemitic" because they actually critized their behaviour, so in regards to the article I linked they really should be the last ones to bend themselves over backwards to lie for a country that hates their guts and tries to undermine their credibility.

In the end I just don't really get why people believe that a bunch of guys that secured their own position by starting a civil war in Gaza, later escalated the conflict with Israel with their raid that mostly targeted civilians and also do stuff like uploading public execution videos are somehow worth praising.
