Postmortem DDoS Attack of May 28th, 2026

Remember friends, you can connect to Kiwifarms using the Brave Browser. Simply go to the three dashed lines in the top right corner of the brave browser, select "New private window in TOR"

and follow https://kiwifarmsaaf4t2h7gc3dfc5ojhmqruw2nit3uejrpiagrxeuxiyxcyd DOT onion/

This method of accessing the forum works even when we are not under DDOS attack incidentally.
i didn't have that option enabled in my Brave browser, not sure if i turned it off or it came that way. had to enable it via Settings > Privacy & Security > Private window with TOR

I'm aware it started again, going to see what can be done, might be another attacker.
Godspeed.

Also nice explanation on your mitigation strategy today, it reminded me of GDC18's Valve conference on mitigating DDoS:

Based on my back of the envelope math, I'd ballpark this attack is costing high five to low six figures per day (USD) to run, but access to existing botnets could lower this. This should definitely be raising the eyebrows of state cybersecurity actors.
Given null's updates on MatI today on the likely lower end of the scale of the attack- assuming erroneous data from one provider as he mentioned, I would revise this cost estimate to low five figures per day (USD), possibly even high four figures. It could be even lower, if the attacker had previous access to the botnet (as mentioned in the quote), but I find this unlikely. (Can't edit, so self-quote.)

This changes the calculus on future mitigation approaches, as Null mentioned, and the cost is still in favor of the random assholes with an axe to grind.

A botnet like this can make more money mining bitcoin then DDOS'ing the Kiwifarms for Free. Somebody is definitely paying cash money for it. That somebody is also a retard with money, because ever since Tartarus became a thing, it was just not cost effective to inconvenience the forum for a day or two. So whoever is behind the attack is 1. Low IQ or Low information about the forum and its history with these things, and 2. Has money to burn tilting at windmills.

Actually, I wouldn't surprised if this latest attack was a collaboration between trannies and lolicons. Those are the kind of niggers that live off neetbux and love to waste them on frivolous things, like a DDOS attack on some forum.
Imagine being so angry that you cut your own dick off that you launch a multi terabyte per second DDoS against some website that is just pointing that you will never be a woman.

Also note that despite your most intense efforts, here we are, pointing out that you will never be a woman. Lmao, you cockless idiot.

Given that the attack was custom-made for The Farms, and able to tie-up or pass a unique (albeit documented) PoW, I would categorize this as non-trivial. The volume of the flooding is also non-trivial. However, at nearly an order of magnitude less than originally reported, it's not unprecedented, other than perhaps the choice of target.

Freaking trannies cutting out our harmless fun while they seethe and dilate.

I would have posted so many screenshots of twitter in the funny pictures thread by now. :(

I've had to break out the old TOR browser I haven't used since dropkiwifarms years ago.

I'm sorry that Null had to lose some sleep, but on the bright side, every time some tranny tries this shit, Null just gets smarter and stronger at defending us.

And I finally had a good enough reason to finally try out Brave, and I am hooked. No more Firefox and their forced updates breaking my Greasemonkey scripts.

I'd almost call it impressive but then I remember it's coming from some retard who chopped off his own cock like a total moron then I start laughing.

This dude doesn't even have a dick! He cut it off! Lmao!
