This website has some interesting facts about DDoS attacks and led me down some rabbit holes. A few facts stood out to me:

• The Aisuru-Kimwolf Botnet has been responsible for some of the largest DDoS attacks in the world, with some attacks reaching 31.4 Tbps utilizing 300,000+ hijacked computers. Their usual attacks are around 11 Tbps. Typical events are 952gbps.
• This sounds expensive, but in reality the botnet can be hired for between a few hundred to a few thousand dollars according to Cuckflare, depending on the size an duration. Assuming other botnets price the same way, our attacker could be anyone from an aggrieved pedophile to a vengeful transsexual to the sharty getting a laugh.
• AI-powered DDoS attacks are becoming the new hotness to defeat DDoS protection. AI automates the bulk of the work, letting the human discover new exploits and fine-tune the attack (or take a bathroom break).

All this to say I am glad to be a Kiwi Gold member and supporting the fight against these losers.
