So I had this thought earlier that colab Britain is a lot like TNO japan politically speaking. The BPP and the Ysk are both technically both the sole legal parties yet independents run in both systems and both are riven by internal factionalism. The only difference between the two is that there are basically no liberals in parliament because most are with HMMLR (Which is retarded considering it’s a communist brigade at its core) whereas japan has tons of liberals in the diet. It could be possible given enough time that a collaborationist liberal bloc could form in parliament and if the BPP fails like the YSK, The king could technically restore democracy by appointing one of the liberals. Since we're talking about headcanons, going by the logic above. My headcanon is that Kier Starmer would be a Nazi collaborator in my modern day TNO timeline, extra funny if I decide that free britain won the civil war, cause I would have him be apart of the fascist resistance.
Speaking of Japan also, my headcanon with them is that they would be the PRC of my timeline. Unit 731 created COVID 19, they influence collages and universities in OFN countries. And I would have ALL pro-china countries be pro-japan in the timeline (just like the iran islamists being supported by japan in their civil war). Including (and especially so) Canada, and I would have Canadians ironically be anti-china in this timeline since they love the empire of japan here, the complete inverse of irl Canada.
I really like how the kaiserreich cold war mod 'twilight struggle' bases the universe on kaiserreich but also pick and choice which lore or ideas to pick, even ones that might not make sense to base kaiserreich. So I would have there be 3 jeet countries: Pakistan, Republic of India, and Free India. My indian unification war has a north-south korea divide between a pro-ofn india and a pro-japan india.
I mention this since axis victory scenerios are meant to be super bleak. I would have it so, despite all the deaths and destruction that happened in this timeline. Mass immigration from south asia (plus elsewhere) STILL happens. Pakistanis to europe, republic indians to ofn countries and china, and free indians to japan.
I also have China be freed after the third sino-japanese war BUT a major difference is that japan tried to general plan-ost china, which mostly failed. With the exceptions of Guangdong and the Yangtze area (which includes a certain Nanjing, symbolic of the damage the japanese caused). And the japanese in those areas are the majority, and act like japanese hamas towards bordering chinese areas.
Typing all these ideas out, it reminds me of how much potential TNO's setting has, even if not everything is perfect. Yet the new devs choose to copy and paste irl wikipedia pages and add TDS.
