God, by today's standards even The West Wing feels like it has no politics. No politics
That one.or the one where the "Goose-lookin' Man" from the first episode of Deadwood plays the cop?
Law & Order is pretty much unwatchable (not that it was ever great). And now everybody needs to be filling in a quota. And you can't make fun of this and that... It's a bit sad what's coming out lately.God, by today's standards even The West Wing feels like it has no politics.
Me and my parents adored Monk, and I think this was made by the same people or at the very least was promoted and advertised heavily around Monk, so we watched the first 2 episodes. I'm not sure if I just went in with the wrong expectations, if the show takes a while to find it's footing, or if I was just a retarded kid with bad taste, but I didn't care for it and neither did my parents. I might like it more if I watched it these days though so who knows.
It's the trope of "quirky genius solves mysteries". See also "House" and "High Potential".Me and my parents adored Monk, and I think this was made by the same people or at the very least was promoted and advertised heavily around Monk, so we watched the first 2 episodes. I never saw him in anything else. In the show, (I have watched 5 seasons in a couple of weeks), he is consistent enough I can deal with it. He might be an horrible actor, but they made the role for that in this case.James Rod(riguez)ay and Kaitlin Olsen? The former...small doses at best (overactor), the latter, won't even watch because I don't like Kaitlin Olsen.
If you're not too picky about quality, I am using https://ww4.seeflix.to/psych/I need to do a rewatch, though. Gotta build back up my DVD collection.
New one for me, thanks!Preferred Burn Notice myself.
Yes I believe he had it before the movie. The guy is a good actor. Reminds me of John Larroquette.Broke my heart reading somewhere that Timothy Omundson(Lassiter) had a stroke.
You can go back further and see the same trope in shows like Columbo and MacGyver. Columbo easily being the best of them. It's the trope of "quirky genius solves mysteries". See also "House" and "High Potential".
Or you could just torrent it...If you're not too picky about quality, I am using
Burn Notice was good but aside from their runs coinciding I don't see it as a competitor with Psych. What was a competitor to Pysch is the Mentalist because it was basically a less fun ripoff.Preferred Burn Notice myself.
Kilmer and Llyod's cameos are some of my favorite scenes in the series. If one watched nothing else from here, watch them.I liked it. They had a lot of fun cameos over the years, Val Kilmer, Shatner, Christopher Loyd etc. Thought it was cool they would bring in actors from movies they very obviously liked; Breakfast club, karate kid, princess bride etc, those I think were recurring roles too so it was obvious they just enjoyed working with people they grew up watching. Also thought it was sweet to tribute nostalgic movie with their halloween episodes too. Show was cheesy, but in a cozy way for me.
