AIs absolutely do lie all the time because their prime directive (their prompt) explicitly instructs them to. There is human intent behind their output because humans created the foundational filter that prevents certain conclusions from being drawn even when the chat input specifically points it out. It's a sort of game for some people to buckbreak AIs by leading them to undeniable conclusions and watching them break down as they are absolutely not allowed to agree with what is unambiguously proven, like that one Patrick Star and Man Ray meme.
