The reason why some flip to fascism straight up is cause they use the fascist tools of the fascist state for fascist goals, but otherwise every other leader besides chisholm, whose narrative is the end of fascism in america, is a fascist and cant dismantle the fascist system. Not even the other white progressives or Reuther cause he is tied with the unions, which are part of the fascist corporatist system. Burtons narrative for example is solidifying the one party state aspect of fascism under an eternal liberalism.

Honestly, I do kind of like this change. It shows the legacy of the pseudo fascism of our new deal and how we have never truly grown past the authoritarian reforms of FDR. It puts a bit of a mirror to our timeline and shows how the New order really isn’t that different from the our order. Thanks, It is tds certainly, but it’s well thought out tds with a rational chain of thought. My interpretation is that america has a new deal psudeo fascist deep state that preserves the new powers of the status quo and uses whatever methods necessary to do so. I suppose that in mangos mind the only true liberalism is classical liberalism as it had no corporatist structure and lets the citizens be.
