Good. By the end of 2026 Thune might be sweating for his job. Right now the Republican senators who have not run for re-election or lost their primaries (or going to) are Thune supporters.
McConnell - Big loss for Thune (no worry of losing seat)
Tillis - Another loss for Thune (might lose seat, but addition by subtraction and Cooper is likely a one termer if he wins because he was pushed into running by Schumer)
Ernst - Supporter (might be closer, but no real concern)
Daines - Supporter (no concern of losing)
Lummis - Supporter (no concern)
Cassidy - Supporter (no concern)
Cornyn - Supporter (no concern, Talarico is overhyped)
That's seven allies he's going to lose in the Senate. And the people who might've voted for him for leadership might be more likely to fall in line with non-cuck type leader. I wouldn't be surprised if after the midterms Trump will ask for Thune to step down or Thune will retire.
