Mitch really doesn't get enough credit for actually giving the Democrats a taste of their own fucking medicine. I know it's fun to shit on him and a lot of people hate the guy, but I will be forever grateful that he did that - not just securing a conservative Supreme Court, but pissing in the Democrat's faces and telling them they better drink up.
He's a turtle and a neo-con but an effective one. Thune, meanwhile, sucks dick as the majority leader of the Senate. If Trump wants to go on a 2028 revenge tour on the way out, he should get Thune out as well.

I also think Mitch was emboldened in 2020 considering how the Dems treated Kavanaugh two years prior.
His wife was deeply compromised by the CCP. I think Trump was gearing up, as we are seeing now, to undermine the CCP during his first admin. McConnell realized it was inevitable and sided with the Dems to protect his gravy train.

He sided with the Dems when it came to Trump being in office, no doubt.

But when it came to the SCOTUS, he actually had a pretty good head on his shoulders, and we'd be dealing with multiple far left activist SCOTUS judges had it not been for him in a few cases.

Mitch sucks and his wife is compromised by the CCP, but I am very, VERY glad we don't have Merrick Garland sitting in the Supreme Court right now, and I am glad how the Biden administration only got one SCOTUS nom instead of two.

Accelerationists don't have children.

It's also egotism, that they think they hold sway over the politicians and that voting against them will make the party be more favorable to you. Usually being a baby whiner doesn't pay off that well.

I don't know if ego plays as much into it because those types will change their opinions like the wind.
I my experience, if you poke and prod about such types you'll realize they actually hate society for one reason or another and want it to fail. And almost always it's 1-3 of the following reasons:

1. Inceldom. Remember Shiloh Hendrix? You had retards coming out if the woodwork hoping the state would ruin her for the crime of being a woman. If society does well, women will do well, and that makes them miserable.

2. Hatred of Christianity. Might be atheists, Muslims, or pagans but they really don't want Christianity to be a powerful cultural force again. (Admittedly this one isn't totally without merit unlike the other two, I say that as someone who is deeply Christian)

3. Some weird sexual thing. Could be that they're gooners, or pedophiles, or just have some weird fetish. But they know that the decline of liberalism will inevitably see the shielding of perversion weakened. Nick Fuentes.

I agree but Garland was pre-Trump.

It was exactly that; he also told the dems they would regret the so called nuclear option.

Was he really, though? When you think about it? He basically held out an open SCOTUS spot for Trump, lol.

Don't get me wrong, I think you are completely right about Mitch wanting Trump out by the time it was clear that Trump wanted to go after the CCP, but prior to the 2016 election, all we knew about Trump in politics were the promises he was making. I don't think that a lot of corrupt politicians anticipated Trump actually following through with a lot of them, so I think that Mitch was more willing to play ball with Trump with the initial set of expectations that Trump was playing the same ball game as him and a lot of other establishment buddies.

4th Circuit denies Trump's request to overturn a district court injunction that "prohibit[ed] the Government from conditioning, withholding, or terminating federal funding for any healthcare entity or medical provider based on the entity or provider’s provision of gender-affirming care for patients under nineteen”

The denial is because Trump waited over a year before appealing this

Lawfare 2.0: Attack Trump in the courts every single moment of every single waking day, and then if the DOJ is too busy with the 9999 other lawsuits, claim them not responding fast enough means they auto-lose?

Or am I overthinking this and it was just Bondi fucking things up again?
