It's not that Gallrein was a fantastic candidate, it's that Massie didn't vote and support where it mattered like with the BBB. He is right about the deficit, foreign wars, cow slaughterhouse regulations, but by burning any political capital he may have had with trump and the party he lost any chance to push for those.
He wasn't even that principled on his objection to the BBB considering he voted for many of the bad Biden era spending bills.
He took mild backlash from trump and became a spurned lover. He sided with the left on immigration, on ICE, and yes on Epstein to attack Trump. He slandered innocent men mentioned in the Epstein files and has not apologized. He apparently got Matt Forney fired from the Blaze for disagreeing with him.
The stuff about his sexual misconduct is just a cherry pinecone on top.
