0 issues on CLI without tmux though. But it sucks that it doesn't work if you do need to use it. What's it failing on for you?
It barely works with tmux; doesn't work with screen at all. I want to be able to connect to my session remotely, because syncing ~/.claude and ~/.local between systems is a bigger mess than I want to handle. It won't sync chat data between multiple instances with the CLI, which I didn't have to worry about with the UI.
I haven't tried it for multiple instances, but wouldn't using Obsidian with their synch fix that issue for you? You'd be able to use the folders that you're using as the Obsidian Vault for every instance in that case. It's also super easy to set up and doesn't require much effort.
I'm using an Obsidian vault across my Macbook and pc for creative projects and the sync works well. Obsidian's also privacy minded, so I enjoy them and recommend them in that sense. It keeps all your files in one place. Makes sense you don't want more software though! I hope it works out for you.
