As an American a fundamental incompatibility with my ideals. They to still have a giant gap in living standards between most of the country, and smaller major cities with a small number of elites so that isn't an upside over here. So the downside of living in china is most of the country is still a shithole, now they just have an authoritarian regime running parts of it. They still have organized crime problems, they still have a huge corruption problem. They have no sense of morality at least not in the western sense, you can't trust them not to rip you off if you work with them. I don't like that a large part of their economy is made up of essentially slaves in sweatshops. Not having free speech, being spied on, authoritarian control, having a giant firewall to control what people see, directly letting the federal government take away rights because of speech they don't like. These are things people here should want to stop, instead of cheering them on.
If you look at all of our problems in America, nothing stems from anything that would be fixed by moving to a system like China's. The opposite really. Our government shouldn't be involving itself with huge corporations. It shouldn't allow trusts, it shouldn't have created the federal reserve. "But we have junkies on the streets", yeah that bad, we should try doing something to actually fix it, instead of just letting them drag down the rest of society. For one the way our criminal justice system handles it is fundamentally flawed, the current way drug law is handled in the country does nothing to improve the nation, and they've massively failed at doing so and that's undeniable by anyone that walks through a major city. People always say the purpose of a system is what it does. And what does our criminal justice system do? It doesn't prevent crime, it doesn't reform criminals, in fact once someone goes to prison once it sets them up to turn fully to crime after the get out, it gives them criminal connections for the future, and the nature of how our prisons work leave people almost always coming out of prison a WORSE person than when they went in. The way to fix this isn't authoritarian control. It's because privately owned businesses were able to buy what they wanted from our politicians, our prison system did it, our medical system did it, social media is doing it, oil companies have done it, and Israel is doing it. We need to fix the broken system, and people arguing for what you are completely miss the core problem we have here. I promise you if you just give the government more power but you don't fix the actual problems it's going to just make things worse.
We don't have a free market here, we've gimped the protections the constitution has provided. And is the country getting better because of it?? It's moving closer to what you're advocating for. Why does it seem like the country is going to shit?
They took all the worst parts of what we do here. And America has been moving closer to what they do over time to try playing the same game they do, because our system needs to constantly compete. But china essentially uses slaves, so our system has moved further towards that. Almost everything going to shit here, stems from business trying to fight a fundamentally losing game. If we are going to try to compete against slaves, we need slaves of our own. and that's what we are moving towards.

I see people like you give the same shit, it's such a surface level look at things. There's no actual substance to anything you say. It's like the low-iq racists that point to crime statistics, and average ethnic IQ scores. then ignore everything else. Great niggers in africa how a lower iq than educated white men here, no shit niggers are dumb. It's ignores the holistic picture. And the shit you are saying doesn't even hold quite the same surface level truth that the people pointing a black crime rates have.
I didn't bring up communism. I said you're basically a tankie. Even though tankies call themselves communists all I see them do is simp for authoritarian regimes like China's. Much like china call's itself communist but it's really a shitty mix, that in the end is all the worst parts of communism, and capitalism.
maybe you could change my mind. If you give anything outside of "they have a nice train there", and pointing to improvements that would have happened after moving to any kind of stable system. Pointing to what changed because of that isn't exactly a point to argue in favor of changing America to be more like China. Also if you actually gave any kind of concrete argument for what you think it would solve here, and how.
