The oil disruption resulting from the Russian invasion of Ukraine peaked worse than what we've seen so far, but the oil disruption today is far, FAR worse than that (and that's just oil; the blockage of the SoH is way more consequential than Russian oil & gas sanctions). You're assuming it's not going to get worse, when literally all indicators show it will, and not just a little worse, but a lot worse. I guess it must be nice to be so blissfully ignorant. The Biden Administration doesn't get enough credit for what they did after 2022 economic policy-wise but the problem is that people in pain will lash out for no reason which is why everyone believed that the admin did fuck all. There was no way around a shitty 2-3 years after 2020 but the median voter doesn't get that and thinks the president can just press a "click to fix everything" button or defund the military overnight and redirect the money to something else.
