You know what I find funny? Even the in-house devs back in the PS1 days, when prompted to make a trendy techno soundtrack for a game out of a buncha samples, have managed to pump out something less generic than the LARP'y DnB and synthwave used in troonslop.

Not the best example, since Firebugs was not only advertised as featuring Bomfunk MC's, but was also released right inbetween 9/11 and the McBling era, but appropriate enough, I'd say. It is a banger.

There's probably way worse (i.e. more bland) examples I don't even remember.
Damn that synth lead that comes in @3:36 is a perfect time capsule for the early 2000s. This is a good track, wouldn't call it slop at all. There's some good interplay here between the parts

I was talking about Pyrocynical tbh. Knowing he's a furfag and he makes hours long essay videos about peculiar games he came to mind. Plus, he's a furfag
I completely forgot about him, definitely something he'd cover. I tried to put him out of my mind and it succeeded for a while, but eventually whenever something degenerate comes along I always hear his name someway, somehow.

Sure, Sseth might talk about it since he played troonslop in the past (Caves of Qud) but his vids are short and sweet, just enough to get you to check out the game by telling you it's most important stuff.

Pyro really goes balls deep in every single thing he plays. At some moments overanalyzing stuff.

he says he wants to "leave here."
This is just a perfectly normal response to living anywhere in the Former Soviet Empire and doesn't really prove anything.

EDIT: The lack of pronouns or pride flags, though, tells me that if they are a troon, they're an 0.01% actual dysphoric and not part of the 99.99% that are fetishists, LARPers, and skinwalkers.

I'm also reminded of that game Pseudoregalia where people remember the main character more than the actual game itself.
I can't seem to find the reddit thread but I've seen someone complain how they don't want to look at Sybil's ass all the time while playing the game. lmao Made me laugh for a few min.

another trooner shooter dropped

Saw that store page has link to dev's telegroom channel, so i decided to go and see what's inside.

Well... i guess indie shooters will never recover from citadel.

Some old wip screenshots of game:

Furry x ultrakill meme (dev seems to be attracted to that fox from bad guys)

Other than that it's just work-in-progress videos of the game. My verdict: dude isn't a troon but a coomer furfag, but because this game is influenced by ultrakill and has all this coomerbait - it only helps to attract troon fanbase, and we'll see how the dev will handle that.

Última edición:
All of it is pretty softcore, but the most egregious one I've seen so far is one where the character puts her barefoot to the camera
Weird how I've decided to look it up just now, in greater detail, and this scene alone shows how quarter-baked Motorslice is, like, wow. From blatantly pixelated wall textures (which take up 96% of the shot), to P holding her foot up for well over a minute for "no reason at all", to the corny-ass Star Wars reference, to fucking *SNIF SNIF*

That last one should be in random.txt, probably.

Oh wow, not a tranny but a degenerate shitslamic furfaggot? Wew, you almost got me worried there. What a relief!

...you do realise what you said makes the game troonslop squared? Furtroonslop, even.

I don't really care about Motorslice's "goonerbait" because this is pretty standard fanservice and people are just pussies about ass and titties these days, but I'm watching gameplay videos of it (speaking of which, god damn it's so hard to just find videos of people shutting up and playing a game these days, I found ONE full playthrough of it after scrolling past "THIS GAME IS CRAZY" slop where they paly for like 30 minutes then never touch it again) and cocktease or no cocktease, it doesn't seem that good.

It looks like classic style over substance, except the style is lame and contradicting because the "so retro" textures are too stretched out and don't match how big the scale of everything is and the main girl is notably more detailed than everything around her, (also the lighting gives off the vibes off those games where there's like 5 enemies max and it still makes your gaming PC loud as a motherfucker) the gameplay loop looks like it gets old VERY quick, especially with how all the music sounds the exact same and lifeless, same with the environments, and I SWEAR one of the bossfights is just the earthmover from Ultrakill, but instead of enemies and defense turrets and shit to fight on the way there, you're just running up to it and slicing through panels on them with no resistance. The game's idea sounds cool as fuck, but it just feels like one big demo because there's nothing more to it than running and jumping around the map and looking at the girl's ass.

It doesn't look that bad, I don't care for the Ultrakill gameplay but at least you aren't drowning in screen or particle effects. I can tell where the enemies are from afar and at least the UI waifu does something other than just being there.

The dev has a fox waifu and just wanted to put her in a game that he made, it's simple and wholesome to me. I can't help but always respect people who get out there and do things. It's my guilty pleasure, the artstyle too is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Mixtape did not appeal to me on account of it being in the coming-of-age genre. It's a bit off if an adult is into that sort of media. Usually they either peaked in high school and are trying to relive those days, or they're vicariously living through the media to forget their own awful adolescent years. Either way, it looks like garbage so nothing of value was lost for me. I wonder how many of the people criticizing the lack of gameplay and cringey dialogue were fawning over Dispatch when it came out?

If you want nostalgia bait that has actual gameplay and is enjoyable I'd recommend Keep Driving.

Dual Post but this is my take on the game too. I saw snippets of that IGN review and you get an example of the exact type of people this game appeals too. Actual loser adults with no friend group in their social life surrounded by co-workers they pretend are their friends when in reality they're just co-workers. Games like this appeal to the people who unironically think their glory days were high school or college and to me you are never not weird if you're like this.

Granted, there are those who hate the coming-of-age genre for similar reasons. It gives them a seething resentment over what they didn't experience in their formative years. It's like the people complaining about missing out on "teenage love" and other social milestones.

I still think this is a healthier view than the former, because you can at least acknowledge those years happened and were dogshit and can potentially start moving on from them to focus on the present instead of desperately trying to conjure up a past you've never lived.
