It will be a tight outcome either way, but the changes being made are long lasting and effective. The reality is that midterms are consistently favorable to the out-party. People flip because all of their problems weren't solved in a day. However, the seats up for grabs were already somewhat favorable to republicans, and the removal of the southern DEI districts is a huge deal for this election and long-term. I wouldn't bet on either outcome personally, but the odds are looking alot better than they were before, and they were close then too. The biggest serious concern is cost-of-living, and that comes down to Bob the plumber. I'm not really convinced that Bob the plumber is going to vote blue in this election even if he's discontent - not unless they were running a Fetterman, who the dems currently hate and want to remove for not completely following the party line.

The most important recent political news has been redistricting with Republican states adding seats after the VRA decision and VA officially getting its redistricting effort struck down. The Democrats never had a chance at the Senate, so whatever source you’re getting that from is worthless. Their chance for the House is actually dropping, though they are still favored simply because of how common it is to lose the House mid-term.
