It's a total witchhunt in some places. /r/beautyguruchatter really hates her in particular.
They really latched on to the racism thing, probably because it gives them a "valid" reason to hate her, because just saying she was fat/ugly/a mentally ill cat lady would mean losing the moral highground they're obsessed with. I don't have a problem with lolcow threads about her, because those girls know they're catty af, but /r/bgc is the worst because they pretend to be all holier than thou, while being just as mean.

I really like /r/beautyguruchatter, but god damn they nitpick at youtube gurus a bit too much.

They do circle jerk a lot. Before Tati was hanging out w/ J*, bgc always talked about how amazing Tati is and if you disagreed then ALL THE DOWN-VOTES.
 
I'm not understanding the hate? I like watching Cassie because she gives honest opinions regarding beauty products. Her personal life (sexuality, body image, education, diet, etc.) is not my concern. Not sure why everyone makes it there's? Her opinion is no different than Tati's, Laura Lee, J. Star, J. Hill, Bunny , etc. etc. ... of which hey are making bank!

Several of those people also have threads here. If you are unconcerned about anything other than her opinions about beauty products, why did you not just stay in the comment section on her YouTube videos?
