Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

I don't know if I'm late or not, but Cadaber did a face reveal in his latest video about campground murders:

He kinda looks like a Temu-brand Brandon Herrera.
 
I guess I spoke too soon in the Wendigoon thread where I mentioned that I haven't heard of Nick Crowley uploading in a while. He just dropped a new video today:


The first half is about a strange internet mystery involving a website of awkward female models dressed in cheap, sexy stewardess costumes promoting some questionable flight instruction company that looks like a Tim & Eric sketch. Then the video takes a dark 180 turn when it's revealed that the flight company was owned by the pilot of Jeffrey Epstein's Lolita Express plane, and it's speculated that the models in the video promos were trafficking victims used to lure in more victims.

It's an interesting topic, I guess, but it gets annoying how Nick inconsistently censors words like "sexual" and "prostitution", and like other videos of this genre they have a distorted VHS filter over everything. The subject however is definitely creepy and uncanny, that's for sure.

The VHS distortion was way too much in this video. It's weird that he censors prostitution near the end when in the first half he just kept calling the models prostitutes. (Which was lowkey surprising. Doesn't he know they're called "sex workers" now? Jkjk)

I will say the little effect he does when he reveals she was an associate of J.E. was cool. Not going to lie. In my opinion Nick Crowley knows how to reveal information in such a cool way.

I'm sick of hearing about Epstein when I'm expecting to go into a video about Internet mysteries. Nick Crowley is not a nuanced content creator so him covering this is pointless. Maybe it's because I'm nearing 30 but it feels like his videos are made to spook teenagers instead of engaging with serious topics in an informative way. I shut this video off halfway through I was so irritated.

Nah I feel you

There's scarier cases of this very same thing but the issue is and as fucked up as this sounds it's not as trendy or youtube friendly. Epstein is more of a meme now on the internet than anything but the last part of what I said is what resonates. You probably won't get struck down for talking about something as media basic as Epstein.

Three months late but I enjoyed his video on The Ritual. It was nice to contrast how different the book and movie are yet touch on the same themes with different endings.

Two weeks late.

I agree completely about scaring teenagers, I can't tell if he's overdoing it or if I'm just noticing it more. The actual core premise of the video is perfectly fine, but he really went to town with the effects. Also the random censorship was odd, I mean it's Epstein.

The best part was the bit at the end where he was able to ID a couple of the models, it was a last minute addition so it's basically him doing a normal video. I'd watch that, honestly.

Yeah I think Nick gears his stuff more towards teenagers. I still like it though because for some reason his voice is more pleasing to my ear than other creators.

I don't really recall the whole debacle, but I think the Jontron situation had more to do with Meatcanyon trying to get an Adult Swim deal at the time and the higher-ups telling him to axe the planned collaboration.

What other creators has he thrown under the bus? He seems to be pretty well-liked by the community at large. The only other "creator" I can even remember any drama with was that tranny editor (MsBreezy?) that made the hit piece on him for being "anti-trans" after he fired them.

People are observing a new genre emerging from the artistic style of A24 horror films. While it has not yet been named, it primarily involves humorous facial expressions presented in a frightening context. Is this Hollywood trying to copy analog horror? I find it odd Hollywood not trying to copy the success of the Art the clown movies by producing more splatterpunk movies.

It's the same as Nexpo, Mamamax used to edit for Nick and his worst traits rubbed off on how Nick views content creation. It's not a coincidence the three of them all do the same shit.
